In the race to become Tampa’s first major hip-hop artist (please sit down, Khia), rapper 2 Pistols and his J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-assisted She Got It recently took a step in the winning direction. Previously introduced on the Bun B-assisted Gorilla Soldiers, however, Hunt is putting up a fight. Unleashing the first single from his Hunt’n Season Part II mixtape, he compares his hood to a Tight Rope; make one false step and you fall to the ground. Listeners will notice similarities to fellow Floridian, Rick Ross, most notably in Hunt’s lyrical pattern and Antwill Beats‘ synth-heavy beat (knock knock, Runners). That said, if She Got It can hit with its likeness to Plies‘ Shawty, Tight Rope should be able to contend on the same charts.
Aight, nothing realy stood out to me average beat and the hook was too easy and done befor, couple good punch lines, would like to hear something else from him.
Hunt might want to consider speeding up his delivery just slightly. The industry, as a whole, has been bumping up the BPM counter in newer releases and a faster beat/delivery would make for a more entertaining listen. Solid, nonetheless.
Nice flow, not much like 50, sounds confident, beat is ok for what it is, I also wanna hear more from him, if he comes with good lyrics, he’ll be successful!
I am really feelin this dude right here! This is good! The beat is good, and this dude sounds like a beast on the mic! I am ready to hear more from Hunt! Solid street sh*t right here; no doubt!
