After signing as the flagship artist at Jermaine Dupri’s Island Urban Music, rapper Hot Dollar’s first single, Streetz On Lock, was immediately featured inside the DJBooth.  Since last May, however, a lot has changed for the upstart artist.  For starters, the label has signed a plethora of new artists (Rocko, DJ Felli Fel, 9th Ward), and the follow-up to Streetz, the uber-trendy Side Kick, failed to produce any buzz.  With that said, Dollar is back in a big way to start the ’08 campaign and the proof is in the recently featured, Upside Down.  To help further publicize his talent level, West Coast DJ’s Rampage and Ill Will have grabbed up Dollar for the new mixtape, Rap or Die Vol. 5; it features the Sean Kingston (and J.R. Rotem-produced) collaboration, On The Block.  You hear that?  It’s called a turnaround.

Best song out of tonight's batch. Hot Dollar hasn't made a bad song. I believe he's on the right path for success. Sean Kingston did his part on this song. This has a similar sound to 50's song "I still kill" featuring Akon. If you don't think so, go check it out.

This is straight. Hot Dolla's flow didn't suck, so that was good. Sean Kingston seems to be the 2008 version of the 2006 Akon and the 2007 T. Pain.

Sean Kingston will never match Akon or T.Pain. Hot Dollar's rap is good but the rhyme scheme is nothing I haven't heard before.

I agree with both MichaelHannah and Kellz: I think Sean Kingston is going to be the next feature artist singing everyone's hook. He's not as good (in my opinion) as Akon or T. Pain, but it is something different, which is nice! I think Sean Kingston killed the hook, and made the song tight.

YES, DJ BLAZE CHANGED THE PICTURE! I AM STILL HERE!!!
This track Reminds me of Hip-Hop-Hooray---Hooooo, Heeeey--- from the beginning, but the beat is a street BANGER. Hot Dollar is a decent rapper. His flow is a little average, but Sean Kingston is sick on this chorus. I will throw it into Rotation!

It was ok. Not bad. If I had to pick a radio-ready single for him, I would choose Upside Down over this, of course with some editing.
