Fresh off signing to Stones Throw in the fall, Homebody Sandman returns to our pages with his first release on the indie label. On New York Nights a chaotically jazzy, sampled beat by DFM sets the mood as the Big Apple underground rhymesayer pays homage to the beauty and mystique of the NYC nightlife. Honestly, I think only a few producers/rappers can pull it off correctly in my opinion. I don't like the flow of this track at all. Perhaps its just a product of the beat? Not feelin it either way. "it's the grain that go against the grain that's a lot of grain what they call me sand fo'!..." + production super clean.

This isn't something I'd wanna here if I was at a club or an underground because it's very busy and must be listened to in headphones to be appreciated.
