Hailing from the south side of Chicago, you can tell by his stage name that Hollywood Holt has big plans.  Signed to Chocolate Industries (like fellow Chi-towners The Cool Kids) and currently on tour with Is There Any Love emcee Kid CuDi, Holt has decided now is the right time for an official single.  On his new 12”, Holt informs us that the industry can’t make him Hollywood because he’s already beaten them to the punch, having acquired a taste for fine women, wine, and… mopeds?  In addition to the interesting spin on fame, the focus should belong solely to producing cousin Million $ Mano; along with scratches from DJ Rude 1, Mano puts together a cool 80’s-sounding beat, which should have the far-out audience thrilled.  While Hollywood Holt currently has no plans in place for an album, the single will officially impact radio on October 14.

The beaet is real "Cool Kids" or "Neptunes" style. I sort of like it, it's really retro with the scratching. I hadn't even read Burmy's review...lol, figures...he's signed to the same label. This is pretty illy. Dude's flow is not too annoying and the beat is very interesting. I'll throw this in rotation and look for more from Hollywood Holt. I will be truthful, with a name like that, I thought he would be wack. Shows how we shouldn't judge books by their covers. (Real talk though, he looks mad fruity in the picture...can't even lie...lol). I love how I just contradicted myself there.

I'm not a big fan of the Cool Kids or the new school retro movement...so its hard for me to review this without being biased...beat is very intersting, thats all i'll say...maybe i'll try to listen to it again later and give more output

That noisy repeating thing throughout the beat ruins the song. Hollywood's flow was not bad but it gets monotonous after a while. Gotta have very good lyrics to grab anyone’s attention in these conditions… 1.5*

GREAT feedback thus far! Hollywood definitely plays to the hipster crowd. DJBooth will be covering his show this week in New York, so I expect a different response after people read about his live show. This is creative, and I am a big fan of creative.

This song is original and I think it will be a club banger...anyway I don't like very much the background noise! The rapper is ok. I don't know if I'll listen to this again, but it's great to dance to for sure!
