Right from its unintelligible intro, you know that Off the Meter is going to be a trip. Holly Rae, a Bay area rookie sporting a poppy voice and a feigned accent, turns out a dance single that has all the makings of this summer’s Calabria. Her lyrics are catchy enough for you not to over-scrutinize, and J.R. Rotem’s backing production is sure to get a body or two moving. The real star of the track, however, is Sean Kingston, who sounds nothing like his usual self. Who knew the teen pop sensation could rap with an edge (albeit somewhat of a dull one)? In all seriousness, he adds a twist of Dubstep to the track that just might turn it from a backyard party jam to a club hit. Since Rae is being courted by Interscope, there is no official word on the title or release date of her debut.
The track is pretty obviously dancehall, and I'll take it for what it is. It actually has a good beat as well. Haven't heard anything from Hally Rae before; she actually has a good sound to her, except I don't like how her fake accent sounds so forced.
sean kingston wuz annoy-n in DIS one. my fav song he iz featured in is "thatz gangsta"... o datz a gud song..eventho itz kinda old...but still iz hott! anyway, like ive said i dont like girl singerz dat much but DIS girl iz ok. Ok she is clearly a looker. This song is fair. I can see this being ok at a club because everything inbetween the hook. The hook breakdown kinda hurts the production. A shame because the simplicty of the verse music is what makes this work. Sean is a much better rapper than he is a singer. He actuctully saves thisfor me. She sounds alil like rihanna to me. Not bad over all.
I know BDF44 I mean WOW:) said that she thought that Mariah Carey was ugly when Mariah Carey is a fine women and now says she would look better in that dress I mean WOW:) must be a gorgeous women or shes full of it. But I would like to see what she looks like.

i know it's a cliche sound...i know am prolly going to tire of this track by the weekend but sean kingston is RAPPING?! and not bad, actually a tip above average if u ask me...that is super refreshing for me! this track has a nice chance...back to kingston, i think rapping with the ragga flavor might be his niche, he does it very well!
Hahahahahahahaha All That She Wants! Reminds me of when I was about 12 years old and was in junior high school lol! The song wouldn't be bad, the beat isn't bad, either. But I don't really like the Ace Of Base's sample in the background, it's useless to me. The song could have been pretty without the sample! I don't like Sean's part. So it gets an ok!

JR keeps going on with his corny productions. recyling old classics, even swedish 90's pop @*#$! damn. I think it's a big lie when he says he's a schooled jazz piano player, he keeps dissapointing me. as far as the singer, there's no substance behind her voice. the song itself is alright
I think this song is hot. Her too. The beat goes hard. She riminds me of Rihanna a little but I like Holly Rae more. I could see this catching on this summer. And Sean Kingston should never rap ever again.
Ok. I think Sean Kingston is a bit overrated. His voice stands out but you can grab any reggae artists to fill in his parts in every song. I am not being harsh but in terms of reggae artist, he's not at the top. He has a good manager and JR keeps feeding him old school beats. Even his original song called "colors" wasn't that mesmerizing. I need more from him as an artist. Song is alright.
This is a hot song and good song for the summer. She is definitely sexy and she got a good future with her voice. Gotta rep the BAY!!. 4 for the haters

D.A. finest: true, i have the album. oh and the song: it'll probably get spun crazily this summer, but i'm going to be tired of it pretty soon. I lyk the beat, actually; but she could've added more vocals and actually made the song flow better.
