If you’re a rapper coming up from Chicago, chances are you’ll automatically be filed under one of two categories: either the funky, creative “No ID type” (Kanye, Common, Lupe, Cool Kids) or the lyrically-hardcore “Traxster type” (Twista, Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, Sly Polaroid). Though futuristically-minded rapper HiCLAS! can slaughter a good number of MCs on a local freestyle battle, he still knows what it takes to leave the crowds screaming “Encore!” until the fire marshal has to kick ‘em out of the venue. 31st Century producer Tony backs The Closer with a forward-thinking spin on the ‘rap-anthem’ instrumental, blending the styles of Cool & Dre, Mannie Fresh, The Runners, DJ Paul & Juicy J, and quite a few other hard-hitting beatsmiths. Plenty of other Chi-Towners have found support inside the DJ Booth; and there’s no reason HiCLAS! shouldn’t do the same. Nice intro build up to the high energy of the record, the flow works perfectly with Tony's solid production, and overall this is a nice intro to the Booth.
Impressed, HiClas! Don't stop... haha.

I love the production on here it is kind of a mixture of different producers. The hook is dope and his lyrics suprised me with the way he brought energy. Anthem type feel throughout the song this is dope!

I thought the production was pretty tight and I enjoyed the whole vibe of the song. The hook was cool and he came pretty hard on the verses. I've been giving out 4's all night, so why stop here?

Being from Chitown, I always feel bad that none of my favorite rappers are from chicago. This sounds pretty good, motivation music. Lyrics aren't nothing too special, his intensity is there but its nowhere near what ace hood or someone else could do.

Dope track. Production is hot. I guess motivational rap anthems are hot right now, like Overtime and Champion via Ace Hood. HiCLAS! has nice energy and a very nice intro to the booth.
