One of the best (and most overlooked) things to happen to hip-hop this decade is its cultural expansion onto international soil, most notably in Canada, the UK, New Zealand, and Sweden.  Hailing from the Swedish capital city of Stockholm (close to previously-featured Booth favorite, Adam Tensta), Henok Achido has lit a fire under his cliché-titled new single, Fly Fresh.  With the energy to power an Ikea plant and enough substance to make an entire batch of Swedish meatballs, Achido utilizes producer Filthy‘s synth-heavy production, in the hope of making Fly Fresh a crossover hit.  Achido’s new album, Almaz Charming Child, is scheduled for an international release next year.

OMG!! The beat and synth production on this is so blazing! His lyrics are on point and he has good delivery. The downgrade is that the Fly Fresh Forever guy in the background gets annoying after a while. This song goes. banger right here!!

The synth really caught my attention. I really am glad they didn't go with the FL Studio style drums. This has a potential epic feel to it. His flow is pretty energetic. I like the hook, but I wish it had as much energy on that sample as Henok's verses. This is decent though. It's OK.

I really like how the song kicks in, kind of a step forward every several seconds or so. It leads perfectly into the chorus, which is really energetic and epic (mh's word). Once the verses hit, however, I hear a decline in the quality of a track. With the production and the nasty hook, this song had potential to be one of those stadium pump up type of joints. Great effort from a dude Ive never heard of though, mad props. Lookin forward to more.

Background music and beat are excellent, but I'm not crazy for the overall result...maybe it's that I don't think he sounds so good! I love the music in the hook and the hook in general, but verses are a lil weak to me. 2,5

Impressed me the second I heard it. Glad to see others are receptive to international hip-hip. Because really, in the end, it doesn't matter where someone is from; hip-hop is hip-hop.
