With the recently-featured Always Have A Choice, Havoc earned a level of Booth acclaim he hadn’t seen since his first solo feature, I’m The Boss—several reader reviews even hailed the track as a return to form for the Mobb Deep rapper.  Appropriately, the hip-hop vet has taken the fourth official leak off his forthcoming mixtape as an opportunity to officially announce: “H Is Back!”  Though this braggadocio-heavy track doesn’t have the introspective lyrical depth of the artist’s last feature, longtime fans of the East Coast vet will find a lot to like here.  Over Young Seph‘s densely-layered blend of street-ready synths and pizzicato strings, Havoc lets his doubters know that he means business, lacing his verses with vivid lyrical imagery and larger-than-life braggadocio.  Clearly as hungry as when he first entered the game, Havoc is set to offer yet more proof of his enduring musical supremacy on From Now On…; keep it locked to the Booth for further release details on the forthcoming street album.

Always have a choice was an absolutely sick song. I still got that on repeat. This wasn't nearly as good, but I thought this was a pretty solid track. The production had some good energy and he flowed over it well. The hook was kinda tight too. Havoc is comin on my radar as a solo artist.

H was BACK on his other single, which is currently charting on our indie charts. This is rotation, but doesn't solidify his place in my internal must-listen to listing.

Production compliments Havoc's commanding delivery with a basic but pounding drumbeat interspersed with pizzicato strings and layers of synths .... Rotation-Stuff.

This is coo! Havoc's new album should be solid. I like the production, and his flow. He's not talking about guns as much anymore.

Not bad, Hav really been reppin' lately since P's npt around to spit. His contribution to 24K Rap on the late Dilla's "Jay Stay Paid" was fire. I also liked "Always Have A Choice" that was featured on here.
