Absent from the Booth since we featured Get off My D*ck in September of ‘07, Mobb Deep emcee Havoc is now getting ready to release his second LP as a solo artist. On his self-produced lead single Havoc makes one simple request, asking listeners to “Watch Me.”  Fortunately, the record is well worth our attention; updating his sound for ‘09, the rapper/producer centers the beat around an overdriven guitar sample, backing Ricky Blaze‘s melodic hook with electronic dot-dashes.  Spitting caked-up game to an unnamed shawty, Havoc doesn’t break any new lyrical ground here, but the veteran rapper’s practiced delivery freshens up the time-worn topics of partying, paper-stacking and hater-blocking.  Now signed to E1 Music (formerly known as Koch Records), Havoc will be revealing his Hidden Files to listeners everywhere on February 24th.

Different chorus...not 'Mobb Deep-eque' if you will. Havoc has always been in my rotation, love the energy. Production is flame.

Interesting production... It's not bad, it's just boring and doesn't do Havoc's flow justice... the hook is way too simple, and what's with the constant beeping?

I wonder how Prodigy would feel about Havoc's use of auto-tune is a record he produced? Not what I would come to expect from Havoc - having followed MOBB throughout my childhood - but its got a chance to catch on.

At this point in his career, he can really do what he wants...

The hook was nothing special. The production was different, but it's whatever. Havoc is not on my radar and I don't think he will be on anybody who matter's radar anytime soon. New school is here. He missed the boat.

I like Havoc's old @*#$!. He is one of the more gifted producers out there. However this beat was horrible. The hook was awful. None more to be said,

Just to reply to Z's point about whgat prodigy thinks bout this crap (which despite bein a huge mobb fan as stated; this is garbage). There were rumours of a group split, so I dont think this has one much to help, bcause listen to all of prodigy's recent albums - H.N.I.C 2 & Product Of The 80's - the qquality has been set high by himself.
N.B. - Hav man u are no 50 Cent, the Mobb really cant pull of 'clubb bangers'
If his forst single was somethingg like Quiet Storm, or something similair in beat every1 wud be checkin for this album but now now!!!!

Uh uh. The production is not where its at. Its too simple and then the beeping towards the end of the chorus sounds very outta place and doesn't match up with the beat. I though I was pressing the start button on the fax machine here at work. The content is ok and the flow is just ok. I will not be bumping this one.

Not the typical Havoc we all know and love, but it's somethin different and you gotta respect him tryin somethin new. He always kills the production however
