Having just experienced a giant storm, I was expecting nothing but nice weather for the next week or so. Of course, that means that the northeast is supposed to get more inclement weather, only this time snow is expected. That’s right…snow…in early November…ugh. Thanks to singer/songwriter Hal Linton’s self produced, new single, though, sand castles will be erected instead of snow angles in no time. Critical Conditon, which features fellow Barbadian artist Shontelle, is a care free, reggae-inspired tune which is powered by the duo’s palpable chemistry and unique vocals. And if their colorful arrangement doesn’t have you dreaming of palm trees, the visuals, depicting the two perusing a vacated boardwalk, will certainly take you there. For more Island-inspired jams, be sure to vibe out to Linton’s Technicolour EP, out now.
