I think we all saw this coming. After Gucci Mane’s ode to alcoholism Wasted blew up like Kanye at an awards show, thanks to an infectious beat and a very chantable chorus, it was only a matter of time before the official remix hit our ears. Well that day has finally come in the form of Wasted (Remix), a track that keeps the original’s Fatboi production intact while adding verses from Lil Wayne, Jadakiss and Birdman. In reverse order of lyrical ability, Birdman is his usual monosyllabic self, Gucci’s rhymes are actually improved from the original, Jadakiss blazes a swaggering street verse and Weezy drops a decent half-sung verse (when he says “rock star life style, might not make it” you believe him). Is it better than the original? Um….well…yeah, I guess…maybe. Wasted (Remix) will appear as a bonus track on Gucci Mane’s upcoming sophomore album The State vs. Radric Davis, scheduled to drop on Dec. 12. I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but Merry Christmas Mom!

Mayne this song always gets me hyped up! The originals awsome but this is better even tho birdman isnt much of an upgrade from gucci

Will never be a Gucci fan...but Wasted is hot...the original was hot, this is good, tho could have done without the Birdman feature lol

The thing I will always get when i listen to Gucci is a laugh, especially at 0:50 lol that was interesting, i kinda liked it haha, and all of his "burrs" shouts
Jadas was the only verse that i would want to listen to again (well except for that couple of seconds of guccis verse ha) just cuz this made me laugh, and jadas verse, i'll give it a 3 |

I guess this is an upgrade from the original.
Gucci - Surprisingly decent (not great though). Wayne - Weezy was Weezy. Enjoyable. Jada - Consistent as hell. Sounded good on this production. Birdman - OK, not good but not bad. I'll spin it a few times. |

Line of the song "kush got me feeling like im in the Matrix" Jada killed it, Gucci's verse was an upgrade. Replaced the original in my rotation.

Hahaha, I've never known what the chorus was till Wayne said it. Gucci showed a better, decent flow on this one. He still doesn't speak clearly though. Never had a problem with this song, the remix is just as good.

If Twista was on the official remix instead of Birdman, this song would be sick.
The production bumps hard and the hooks decent. The original is solid (surprised it was never featured here), but this is a upgrade. |

Damn Gucci went IN on the first verse, and this is from a semi-Gucci fan.(I only recently started liking him) This is just as good as the original, I still love Plies verse though. (Cause her jaws sore...)
On a side note, Wayne waited until he was going to jail to start making decent raps again... |

Ok, so it's not One Mic, but it's fun as hell. I can't hate on Wasted, though I wish Weezy wasn't obligated to get Birdman on so many tracks - I can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed a Birdman verse. And for the record, this Weezy verse is lifted from the work he did over this beat on the No Ceilings mixtape.
@DJ Z - Definitely get Gucci in the Booth for an interview, you can ask him what that "brrrrrr" thing he says in the beginning means.

A-Yo! was that Gucci Mane on the first verse? Damn! I choose not to believe that was Gucci cos I didn't feel like punching a hole through my laptop while hearing that verse! That FLOW was... decent.
Aside that __, all features deliver exactly what you'd expected from them. A pretty standard 09' Weezy verse, a solid verse from the always effective Jadakiss and Birdmam dropping limited-knowledge-limited-spitgame on fourth verse. Overall, what @Phantom said - "This track is officially bearable now!" |

I can imagine T.I., Chamillionaire, or Ludacris completely dismantling the track with murderous lyrics.
Gucci's verse was actually respectably good. I've never been a fan of Gucci, but I love "Wasted". It's production is just HOT! I think DJBooth is in love with Gucci though; I'm really annoyed with so many Gucci features. Why do people still bother with Birdman? He is so mediocre now, not when he was back in Big Tymers time. Gucci's becoming like the new Wayne in features...Nothing new from Weezy though. Jada ripped it. |

i guess its better than the original. spotlight is gonna be gucci's first actual hit before this though. jada always brings his best for the remixes. i'm not really a huge weezy fan, but i gotta admit he's been goin; in lately!

This remix was a waste, of my time and the talent of these rappers (Jada and Wayne are who I mean). Not much better than the original, I wasn't really blown away by anyone but if I had to chosse I guess Jada.
Gucci did surprise me with his fast flow on the 2nd half of his verse but still could work harder on his lyrics. Wayne was average and I expected Baby, well to be Baby. |

Another gucci track! Liked the original a lot but still not my favorite of Gucci tracks. His new verse is pretty sick but not amazing. Getting real annoyed of lil waynes voice recently on some tracks, especially on that new mixtape :/ Jadakiss is average on this, birdman just ok too. Overall its a pretty beat remix.

I don't know why, but I really freaking hate Gucci's voice. I doubt I'll ever like a song he's on because of that.
This is better than the original. By saying better I don't mean it's any way good, though. |
