Quick question: What do you do when you’ve spent months building your artist up, only to watch him head to prison weeks before the release of his major album? What else is there to do but put just keep releasing new music? Hence the latest Gucci leak Stupid Wild, a Bangladesh track whose frantically energetic beat, catchy as hell hook and nihilistic theme mean it could have easily been titled Wasted Part 2. Joining Gucci (whose lyrical contributions aren’t particularly worth mentioning) on the uber-banger are the similarly jail-bound Weezy, who drops a good-but-not-great flow, and Cam’ron, who continues the same dope guest feature ways we saw on Popular Demand). It’s not a “good” song in the usual sense of the word, but fittingly, it’s hard to imagine better musical accompaniment for anyone looking to get stupid wild. Regardless of his legal status, Gucci Mane’s aptly-named sophomore album The State vs. Radric Davis is set to drop December 8. Stay tuned for the DJBooth album review, coming next week.

The beat is a cheap rip-off of "You Don't Want Drama" by 8Ball & MJG. Gucci's verse, as expected, is mediocre. Wayne is Wayne and Cam, in my humble opinion, stole the show here. Overall, it's a decent track; probably the best I've heard from Gucci.
P.S. The chorus sounds like it was tailor-made for Gorilla Zoe to me. |

This falls into the category of those Soulja Boy, VIC, GS Boyz, etc songs. Nothing special AT ALL, but just 'stupid' enough to listen to when it comes on the radio.

This is kinda one of those guilty pleasures (like many of Birdman's songs). The hook was boring and Gucci sounded lazy, Wayne would of been better (like how he sounded on Always Strapped) or maybe Drake could of upgraded the song, if he was on it. Cam came hard and lyrically saved the song since Wayne was forgettable and Gucci well always is.

@CB why compare this song to one of soulja boys? at least soulja only brings about a stupid song every now and then!!! unlike two of the artist in this track - the have one almost everyday!!!

I gotta join the chorus of "guilty pleasure" comments. Verses are forgettable, though the Cam contribution is decent to me, but this beat is so appropriately stupid you can't help but start nodding your head. On a side note, I've heard rumors that Gucci's been in and out of rehab. Maybe he shouldn't be drinking it every night.
Oh, and @Menilik MHD, Soulja Boy only comes out with stupid songs "every so often"? Did I miss when he dropped Illmatic? No hate, but musically Gucci's just an older version of Soulja Boy. At least Wayne and Cam have made legitimately dope hip-hop in the past.

I can barely understand what's Gucci Mane saying, not that I wanna know. Weezy recycles his ryhmes for 1,119,875th time and Cam'ron was decent. Beat bangs! (that's not sayin, its good or original). Okay at very best. "People don't lower your standards."

This isnt a great track, but its still better then a 2 star rating. Beat bangs, Cam is earning my respect back, Weezy's verse is ok & Gucci sounded decent (though i was a little distracted by the production durng his verse).

i love it cause it does waht its supposed too do be crazy and diff. the beat hooks you in the laziness of gucci has you listen closley trying too hear him and the chorus is catchy it jsut does what its supposed too do wich is be exactly its tital stupid wild.

Man, I like Gucci a LOT! All of a sudden, I finally get his swag after ignoring him forever and now I can't get enough. I like the beat and he got the PERFECT person to join him with stupid lyrics -Camron...And Weezy also has a habit of saying the darndest things. This is a BANGER to me...I don't know why, but it is! Weezy went in!

Idk about a cheap rip off, because Bangladesh also produced You Don't Want Drama. Anyways, as a usual huge advocate of gucci, I can't be quite as much on this track. His flow is on but the beat isn't what I like to hear gucci over. I've been enjoying wayne more recently and I have to admit he outshined gucci on this track. Camrons verse is deletable, lyrics good or not the sound of his verse didn't mend with guccis or waynes well at all.
