Already the benefits of a major label are paying dividends for Atlanta MC, Gucci Mane. After grinding independently and accomplishing everything he could, the trapper rapper inked his name to a contract with Atlantic Records. One of the many perks of being signed to a major label is the access artists are given to roster mates. Gucci Mane, allow me to introduce you to Mr. Trey Songz. As a result of their meeting, the collaborative cut, Drink It Straight, was born. One thing is for certain: Gucci Mane’s new song will not be played at AA meetings. On the flip side, the alcohol-influenced banger will receive plenty of spins at its chosen location: the club.
The is something about the sounds of Gucci's beats that make all of them sound extremely similar. The production here is weaker than usual. This track is nothing compared to the bangers out there right now but club heads will definitely bump to this.
Trey Songs is all over the place, trying to take a page from T-Pain! This is pretty damn corny to me. I can't give this song props. This will also get lost in the shuffle.
Im always real disapointed by Gucci Mane cause I think he got talent but he just f***s it up 4 himself by releasing stuff like this.. Trey Songz baby WHY are you on dis track???? U soooo mush beta than dis..
This is what it is right now...for real, the south is putting out anything right now...It's mostly for money, the artistry is gone...w/exception from Andre 3000 and someother realistic rappers....but, people make this type of shit acceptable, what do you expect...this shit's garbage.
