By mixing their Dirty South vocals with strong faith and family-friendly lyrics, Nashville duo Grits have built up a strong following in the Christian rap scene. After a successful 10-year run with indie label Goatee Records, Teron “Bonafide” Carter and Stacy “Coffee” Jones have launched their own label, Revolution Art, whose first release was the duo’s eighth studio album, Reiterate. On the album track Walking My Way, Bonafide and Coffee travel down their usual path, tackling some of the troubles of the world. Recognizing that these events are small things to two giants, the Grits stay true to themselves and encourage fans to keep the faith and do the same. Featuring the co-production of Mo Henderson, Walking My Way just might be the motivational music you need.

I've been a Grits fan for a long time. I remember "Ohh Ahh" and some other dope tracks. This track's production is off the chains. Grits is always uplifting, promoting their faith and everything. I felt the hook could have been better. It didn't excite me sonically. I'll throw this in rotation though, definitely

I like the production a lot, it's catchy and has a good beat. They also sound good, but I don't like the overall song...it's quite boring! Yeah I don't like the melody, with this production the final result could have been a lot better! It's ok

Quality track from a quality album. "Reiterate" is a solid listen - check it out.
Simplistic production and flow, but both comes across as much more with delivery. |
