Gotham Green & El Prez - Inhale
Artist: Gotham Green & El Prez
Featuring: El Prez , Gotham Green
Producer: Twigg & Stone
Album: Inhale EP
Label: Unsigned
In middle school I used to play Grand Theft Auto 3 constantly, religiously even. While I rampaged, I always had to put on Game Radio FM hosted by Stretch Armstrong (remember!?) and as I played, I often thought it’d be a pretty awesome job to select cuts for the soundtrack to Grand Theft. Well, if that was my job, I’d definitely select Inhale for my virtual drives. Inhale is the first leak (and title track) from the Inhale EP, which finds Tell Me Something creator Gotham Green linking up with In & Out lover El Prez for a collaborative project that consists almost entirely of the two switching verses. Produced by Twigg & Stone, Inhale has that chilling New York vibe to it with narcotic piano riffs throughout, the perfect hazy backdrop for Gotham and Prez to drop verses in their relaxed yet clever styles. Presented by Ashley Outrageous and DJBooth, the Inhale EP will be available to the masses for free download and stream on May 5 (or Cinco de Mayo if you like).

I know weed smoking and playing video games go together, but I am not sure "Inhale" - as our wonderful writer Ivan suggested above - fits the description as an accompaniment for cruising around and partaking in mischievous behavior. However, that is only one musical interpretation. This is why some people find chocolate to be too sweet, while others do not. Make sense?

I can definitely picture this in GTA 3. As for the track, It's pretty good. I like the piano heavy beat, but I feel like the energy is lacking. I know it's a more relaxed, slower beat, but I feel like both emcees lyrics would have stood out, had they packed a little more punch in the delivery.

I like the fact that they make the type of music that moves them, and they havn't conformed to whats popular. They do what they do well. Nice verses. The track is so smooth. I like the choice of piano samples.
