Ever hear your mother use the expression, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”? Clearly Bad Boy South artist Gorilla Zoe has, because his new single, You Don’t Know Me, showcases the difference between perception and reality when judging a perspective man. Featuring and co-written by Danity Kane member, D. Woods, the song goes on to mention why appearance doesn’t account for everything; “throw me in a box, tryna keep me in a frame/ you lookin’ at a n*gga, like a n*gga can’t change.” Produced by Willie “Chuck” Shivers, You Don’t Know Me can be found on Gorilla Zoe’s debut album, Welcome to the Zoo.
FIRST OF ALL, BIG FAN OF D. WOODS...I LIKE THE MESSAGE IN THIS SONGN THE OVERALL FEEL WOULDN'T FROM HOOD FIGGA ZOE BUT I'LL GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE...HOT TRACK 3/5

Rappers love to soften up on their forthcoming singles after succeeding on a street single and Zoe does a good job on switching up his style. This surprised me.
When I first gave "Welcome to the Zoo" a listen, I thought, "They had BETTER make You Don't Know Me the 3rd single, it'll be a hit." D. Woods did her thang, and Zoe handled it too. Maybe he won't be a one-hit wonder after all...
I don't know about Gorilla Zoe just yet...I need more work to judge him overall. This is another forgettable track once again. Not the hit they are looking for...
I don't think this song fits Gorilla Zoe. I think he is decent; he hasn't done anything for me to say,"WOW." With this song, perhaps, a male R&B artist could of done this song some justice.
IM FEELIN THIS. NOT A BIG FAN OF ZOE BUT IMA LOOK INTO HIM. AND D.WOODS SOUNDS GOOD ON HERE SHE ALWAYS DO. SHE HAS A SOFT ANGELIC VOICE THAT YOU WOULDNT EXPECT TO COME FROM HER JUST LOOKIN AT HER, YOU'D EXPECT SOMETHING MORE HARD... BUT ITS GOOD.
