Over K.E.V.‘s street-ready piano loop and head-nodding percussion, the two-time freestyle series alumnus resolves to to fulfill his dreams at any cost, barreling over any and all obstacles in his way. Of course, it’s not all about him; Goines also offers some words of encouragement to others on their grind, advising us to “Keep a level head even if they call you weird just cause you can stand tall and not give in to the fear…” Singer Joe Average rounds out the record, lacing the hook with his decidedly above-average vocal stylings. Goines is on a bit of a hot streak. Over super catchy production from K.E.V. he breezily performs his verses, and gets a nice assist from Mr. Average - who I thought was exactly that, average. A catchier hook would have sent this one over the top.
