The eclectic duo of Cee-Lo and DJ Danger Mouse, otherwise known as Gnarls Barkley, are back with the first taste off their upcoming sophomore album, The Odd Couple. According to the duo’s MySpace page, they are deciding between two selections for the first single. Neither of those two options, however, are the new Danger Mouse-produced, Run. With splashes of 70’s psychedelic funk, including an organ, maracas and addictive guitar playing, Run could do an all out sprint towards to the top of the charts. Listeners beware: If you try and compare this to the pure genius that was Crazy! (off their debut St. Elsewhere), you might be disappointed. The Odd Couple will be released off Downtown/Atlantic this April.
Really catchy and funky! Sounds like something you would hear on a movie like Pulp Fiction, during a runaway scene or something… There's no need to compare this to "crazy", unless you wanna use that word to define this song: CRAZY on its own!
cee-lo has an altogether different vibe he's is one of those artist, that can not be kept in a box and its not only because of his size, dude has mad skills and vision!

Man, a lot you cats on hear really have to be more open minded when it comes to music besides your generic gangster rap tracks. Gnarls Barkley = GENIUS. Danger Mouse is a prolific producer and Cee-Lo continues to expand his vocal abilities. "Crazy" should have won for record of the year last year(damn Dixie Chicks...) but by the sounds of this track it looks like "The Odd Couple" is going to be bigger than anyone is expecting it to be. I love getting CRUNK TO FUNK!
I believe Gnarls is one of those love or hate artist (much to the extent of kingston), I for one dislike gnarls' music and I definitely don't like this song. I'm usually very openminded to artists using funky beats, but I simply can't explain why i dislike this song.
Some of you guys don't know how to appreciate real music! This right here is FIRE! A real banger! They really feel their music and the emotion they portray throughout is undeniable. Very good job!
The thing I like about him, is that his songs are ALWAYS fresh. He is that rare type of artist that doesn't care about ratings, prestige, or badassery (is that a word?lol).He just cares about making music.

Man! That beat is real funky! Gnarls Barkley always releases something that makes you feel like it could've been dropped back in the 70s and did just fine. This is real dope. I hope to hear a remix with a rap verse for a real eclectic rap artist. This is real different. People giving it 1 star and stuff are highly ignorant to music in the first place, so I just disregard them. This is definitely a banger. I'll give it 4 stars.
