If you’ve ever wished you were as dope as your favorite rapper, GLC has some G.O.O.D. news: as it turns out, even the freshest in the game aren’t born fly—they have to earn their wings in Flight School.  Though this cut has been gliding around cyberspace in an unfinished form for a few weeks now, this newly-released final version finds Auto-Tune maestro T-Pain and G.O.O.D. Music head honcho Kanye West collectively playing Goose to the I Ain’t Even On Yet emcee’s Maverick, the former enticing a nameless lady with promises of high-flying romance and the latter donning his Superman cape to provide his protégé moral support on the back end.  Producer Arrowstar completes the collaborators’ formidable four-finger formation, backing his pensive piano arpeggios with booming synth bass.  Flight School is set to appear on GLC’s debut, Love, Life & Loyalty, which has yet to receive a solid release date.

This song first appeared on the Rap Chart on March 30, 2009

When the unfinished version of this song leaked to the net, I was heavily unimpressed. Believe it or not, though, GLC's addition makes this song much MUCH better.

He provides a nice accompaniment to what was just vocals from Ye' before. Pain does his job as he should and Arrowstar gets me curious on the production end.

Rotation for my Chicago homie.

Decent track from GLC. I liked the thin piano/percussion production, as it works well wit GLC's voice and flow. T-Pain makes the song interesting with the hook, and Ye is just Ye, which makes ppl wanna listen. Pretty good.

Kanye shud have kept this song for himself, this has sooo much potential to be a classic, GLC is just not a charismatic rapper, let alone on even ankle level to Kanye. GLC is a SCRUBBBBBB. Sick chorus btw...

This beat rite her is simply WOW ... the leaked version wit West & TP only has been on a repeat like n times already .. no idea wat im gonna do wit this... Kanye has always convinced the most indifferent members/people wit his xcellent gift of the gab..... Verse is SUPER dope ... Kent wait for his next LP ... GLC did his thang too ... but its kinda obvious dat GLC did get overshadowed by Kanye ... & dats acceptable unlike 'Party People' ... haha ... & now.

Just to quote DJ Z : "For anyone who thought that the T-Pain takeover in 2007 AND 2008 was just a mirage, get your Hip-Hop glasses cleaned." Runnin out of Hooks? Say What?!?

In-btw : Hey, Dj Z any latest news on wat Teddy's next single gonna be ??

I've been listening to this for the past two hours. That's how good it is. The beat may be repetitive, but it is awesome, T-pain's hook is definenitly one of his best.

It's a improvement on the unfinished version I heard a month ago. GLC does add to the track, while Kanye & T-Pain do whats expected from them. The beats decent enough from Arrowstar as well, though I doubt ill play this all that often.

Contrary to you Z, when this leaked, I thought it was super dope! (I got this joint the same time as "Walking On The Moon) and I guess I was just exceedingly excited to hear Kanye back rapping, especially with this futuristic style joints. I've been a semi-fan of GLC, but I never thought he was great by any means. His verse on Spaceship is classic and he has a few good other ones, but he's never a standout lyrically. If this song was just Kanye's, featuring T-Pain, with another flame verse from Ye, it would be a classic and go to the top of the classes. IDK...but GLC brought this joint's quality down in my opinion. 5 without him, but 4 with him.

Ye is that deal though. I so hope there is a hip hop album coming this year from him (or a co-op of his contrasting styles. This songs exhibited that and I think it would be dope).

I gotta agree that this would be better without GLC. That is no knock to him, as his verse was cool, but this would've been a CLASSIC if it were just Ye and T-Pain (with another verse from Ye of course). Great hook, soulful sounding beat, nice verse from Kanye, too much for GLC to keep up with!

Well, I too agree that this would be better without GLC. But I think it'd be better not with two verses from Ye, but with one from and one from Pain. Either way, both are amazing on this track. Damn, Kanye keeps earnin his stripes with me! He's quickly climbing in my favorite artists. Keep up the excellent work, Yeezy. And, as always, amazing job, Pain.

I think this is good. The music is cool and the beat kinda reminds me of some Eminem's songs. GLC and Kanye West sound great but the hook isn't all that, I'm not a fan of T-Pain and everybody knows that. In rotation

DOPE! T-Pain contributes another great chorus. GLC definitely added to the track. I like how he flowed and he killed it. Kanye just stole the show! Production is very nice, definitely made with some emotion.

The leaked version without GLC was MUCH better. No joke, it played on repeat for 3 days in my car. GLC was ok but nothing great. I can't wait for Ye's next album. He killed this. 5/5 for the leaked. 3/5 for this.

For a first single to come out, its not that bad. But again, you can't go wrong with Mr.West and Pain on the track. They always draw spins.

i refuse to rank this too high just because of kanye and tpain. they were good but glc was just terrible. Take him off and its a 4 star banger. but until then its okay.
