Set to release his long-awaited debut, Beach Cruiser, sometime in early 2009, Glasses Malone has dropped yet another mixtape to get people ready. On this final prequel, the Watts native has decided to use some reverse psychology, titling the project F*ck Glasses Malone. On major-label albums, there is a tendency for artists to tone down their music, but here Glasses is free to use his gruff, energetic delivery to its fullest. Mixtape cut Number One comes complete with commentary about the emcee’s departure from the now-defunct Sony Urban, and a claim of superiority over the legendary Snoop Dogg. Produced by LB Fitted, Number One could be a contender for the eponymous spot on one of the Booth’s charts. Check back with us next week.

I loved Glasses on the underground circuit, but ever since he's been off my radar. His stuff is decent, but nothing to really go crazy or surprised over. This is no exception, another average track in my opinion. Glasses has got mad potential, he already proved it, but I'm lookin for somthin that will hit hard and introduce him the right way. This is a good street record, but not my cup of tea.

I know Glasses can do better than this. He got hella delivery and voice but he dont need know lupe/kanye beat for this. He needs a harder beat. Average song

Man what you mad at? I feel like Glasses is scolding his listeners for not agreeing with him about being number one and for singing the hook of his track " @*#$! Glasses Malone" which I think is his best song yet. This one is alright, but I gotta hear that other one on the booth. That shit is serious.

I like the production and Glasses sounds like a higher pitched, more raspy Rick Ross on here. I like his energy on here and some of his word humor is pretty tight. It's definitely better than some of the previous stuff I've heard from him, but I don't think I'll be cosigning or playing this again anytime soon. I will say, I like that sample a lot though.

I'm going to start off by admitting that G. Malone is my dude. I have personal relationships with many artists and I speak with them via e-mail quite often.
Glasses has plenty of talent - and I anxiously await this long-overdue product of his - but this doesn't do anything for me. With that said... keep in mind this is just a mixtape cut and on his album, it is safe to assume he will murder sh*t.

Yeah he's similar to Rick Ross. Personally I'm not a fan of voices like this. Rick Ross isn't my favourite artist but he often gives good contributions as a guest in many songs...I don't know if Glasses Malone would be as good as Rick, I only know that this track is boring! Altough I don't like his voice I must admit he has energy, but the production is weak and doesn't stik out his skills!

Rick Ross ha lmfao. to compare G malone to Rick Ross is crazy. G malone is that 1 ya dig this here is a coo traxc I heard better from him but I like this. The beat go to hard but the feel of it not that energetic giving it a lame appeal im feeling it tho.
