On his first official single, Watts native Glasses Malone (with help from Akon and DJ Toomp) showed the rap world exactly how Certified he is in the streets. So, when it came time for the remix, the multiple-label signee scooped up three rap veterans, all certified enough to join the movement. While Texas legend Bun B and Compton veteran KAM definitely enhance what was already ideal OG rider music, leave it to Glasses’ Cash Money brother, Weezy F. Baby, to mix a little street cred and whole lot of creative swagger to end this remix on a slick note. Glasses Malone’s debut album, Beach Cruiser, is currently set to drop sometime after Wayne releases the Carter III (which finally will hit stores on May 13).
All the tracks on the site today are awesome and this one is no exception. The original version alright but the remix murders. Akon's hook and Bun B 's featured verse go hard. That one dude Lil Wayne, he's pretty good too haha. It's the remix babayy.
Glasses Malone sounds a lot like Rick Ross on here. The Beat is Really really good. Akon Does some of his best work on this track! Lil Wayne kills it with "its the remix baby" ad libs throughout. Bun B sounds Great on here too. Lil Wayne finally comes on and it is NOT a Disappointment! Classic $hit right here!
with all this star power(akon the ghetto hook man, king of guest of appearances, and the trillest of the trill u would think this would be a classic, but i agree with dondonjon
First of all, they waited WAY to long to release this. The song "Certified" has actually been floating around since last May. With that said, again, Weezy steals the show. This man is a gift and a curse. In this case, I'm thinking the latter...
I agree w/ DJ Z...the feature artist make Glasses Malone sound like garbage. I personally didn't like the original version, but Weezy, Bun, and Kam did this song justice.
i really like seein wayne and akon on the same song...havent seen this combo since 9mm which was a sick a$$ song...anyways this is a sick song too...im likin it but i honestely expected more...still a 4 from me tho
I love this song - I can work out to it, dance to it, ride to it. I love Glasses' voice and Akon is hot w/it. I been listening to this damn near everyday for months!
This song in a "Certified" classic 100x's betta then the original, weezy straight upp murders the song bun brings it to n glasses is way better then the orginal.
