Glamourlyke - Cutlass
Artist: Glamourlyke
Featuring: Yelawolf
Producer: Wil Power [for SupaHot Beats]
Album: GlamourLyke x Wally Sparks - Hwy. Love (The Mixtape)
Label: Unsigned
You can tell a lot about a man from his taste in automobiles – and, judging by Glamourlyke‘s affection for the Oldsmobile Cutlass, the Atlanta representatives are all about balancing practicality and reliability with attention-grabbing old-school style. Appropriately, Glamour’s first Booth feature finds the up-and-coming rap trio engaging in a little flashy, yet classic lyrical stunting, flowing over the Southern-fried synth-brass boardwork of Supahot Beats’ Wil Power. Despite being more of a Cadillac guy, longtime Booth favorite and fellow ATLien Yelawolf proves the perfect guest emcee for this track, lacing the back end with some timeless words of wisdom: “You can put a kickstand on life, but you can’t guarantee that b*tch’ll stand up.” Craving more from this first-time featuree? You can find what you’re looking for on Glamourlyke and Wally Sparks’ new street album, Hwy. Love (The Mixtape), available now online.

Yelawolf has been TEARING it up recently. Hahaha wow, an MC Hammer reference? It's not like there isn't already enough of those.
But this is something I could ride to for sure. |

The chorus isn't that great. The verses are straight though. I'm not a fan of the beat has a little bit too much going on throughout the song. Yelawolf is straight in this song and is a good rapper.

"I'm like MC Hammer mother f***er can I touch this!"
The flow to this song is awesome, reminds me a couple of different songs all at the same time. The chorus is pretty catchy and has some great one liners. Glam lays down some solid verses, nothing amazing but by no means garbage either. Yelawolf is another upcoming artist that really has my eye and he does a great job on this one. Definitely putting this one in the rotation. Solid work from both people on this track. |

Beat doesn't do anything for me, and the hook is nothing special. Both guys were solid on this.

When this song started I thought it was going to be terrible (sorry!). But once I got into it (well before the impressive but short Yela contribution) I started to real dig the alternative slash techno/futuristic vibe. I'll tell ya - Atlanta isn't ever afraid to try something new. Dig it.

Doesnt really do it for me at all. I would compare it to something Kid Cudi would do when he was upcoming. Simple, shows lack of creativity. Productions not that great either.

When I first heard this I really did not like this. As I listened to it more I started to like it a little bit more but it still is not my favorite. The Chorus is just alright but the beat is very good. I have 1200 watts in my room and my neighbor is probably hatting me right now. Because of the beat I will give it a 3.

i got some good vibes listening to this. Could see myself riding and bumping to this hard. Glamourlyke was a let down lyrically. Almost like just say i bunch of words that ryhme with different pitches would be enough. Yelawolf killed him on this easily.

Ill be honest, I only checked this track out because of Yelawolf and to be honest, I was a little disapointed in his effort. He was alright, dont get me wrong, though ive heard him go harder then he did on this.
The production is dope, though I really dont like the hook. |

Why does richard say that Yelawolf is an ATLien? I'm pretty sure he's straight outta Bama! This beat is slappin and everyone gassed it. I dunno about the hook, but this will sound nice with the subs turned up...

That hook just killed it for me (and not in a good way) Didn't really let me get into it... Still gotta give Yela his props. He was definitely due to have someone pick him up!

This isn't a bad ride-out song although it's not overwhelming, even YelaWolf turns in a less inspired verse. And the production is more bass-heavy but less appealing version of KITH's "Flickin", is straight... 2.5

About the only thing this song has going for it is the video game sounding beat and of course Yelawolf. The hook was absoutely wack and Yelawolf makes up for Glamourlykes subpar verses.

some people may jump on the "all they rap about is money, girls, cars or weed" bandwagon straight away with this one and i dont blame them. sometimes those type of songs work if they are done by the right artists, glamourlyke certainly isnt the right person to be in charge of this track. keep yelawolf as a feature but get someone else who can spit about a car and not sound like young jeezy with a throat infection!

I love the intro of this song. " I am stunnin" and the melody got annoying. I dont think Glamourlyke is that great of a rapper

Hammer don't hurt em? Lol Dropping references like that you know you're going to get talked about. Track has a smooth rhythm, not a banger but I can see where it would fit on some peoples playlists. Good to hear somebody new(at least from me), looking forward to hear him on something laced with hi hats and 808s.
