After transforming from an R&B group called Deepside to a new incarnation as Git Fresh, members Mike Ezay, Pretty $ly, Penny and Rude Boi have taken a different route with their music. Rocking a more thuggish vibe, reminiscent of previous collaborator R. Kelly, Git Fresh upped the buzz for their upcoming release with their first single, Booty Music, which dropped this past summer. On Tipsy, their new single with Miami’s own Rick Ross, the fellas make a play for the ladies once again. The guys spill the beans about a girl whose love has got them so intoxicated that they don’t want to be sober ever again; over a relaxed, keyboard-inflected beat full of dreamy synths from producer Bigg D, Ross drops in a few clever rhymes about his lady love. Expect more female-friendly tracks on Git Fresh’s new album when it drops in the second quarter of 2009.

i did NOT know that they were AKA deepside.
i like both.. Git Fresh has some GOOD songs. but this isnt one of the best. i have at least 4 songs by them on my MP3 and i hope one of them get featured soon. |

I remember that Booty Music track on the site over the summer! I was feelin it pretty much all summer, and I've kind of been wondering where they've been. This one is a little smoother, but I can dig it. Ross doesnt bring much here, but the chorus is fire and these guys can sing.

The production is straight and Ross sounded straight. They sing through their noses though. I don't know...it's a decent track for the radio, but nothing I would listen to again.

A pretty song but it has nothing that really stands out...vocals are decent, melody is quite catchy. Anyway they sound kinda weak, they lack energy! The best here is Rick Ross, he sounds great! 2,5

Wow!!! The first 2 voices are NOT good… no one in this group has good vocals! They are not solid at all, sound funny/fake/annoying, someone needs to teach them how to use their voices, not only to dress or take promo pictures … they sound like a bunch of teenagers but they are grown man! :s

This cut will work on radio and at the clubs. It has hit potential and a guest verse from a reputable name.
On a personal note: Please, people; enough with the damn "drunk in the club," "i'm so tipsy," "lets get smashed" songs. CoooL? Thanks.

I agree with Fred those voices do not sound good to me. I liked booty music from these cats and the beat here is refreshing, but its not connecting for me.
