GhostWridah - Final Thought
Artist: GhostWridah
Producer: J Rock
Album: Unreleased
Label: The L.Y.F.E Music
In the now infamous broadcast known only as The Decision, a trio of NBA superstars formed that immediately brought Miami to the forefront of the Eastern Conference and poised the Heat to grab more rings than Sonic the Hedgehog. While Cleveland recoiled Miami celebrated, and in the case of Booth favorite and MIA native GhostWridah, celebrated in song. Ghost’s latest record, Final Thought, was originally destined for the NBA 2K11 soundtrack but missed the deadline. Fortunately for us, buoyed by some pre-season wins, GhostWridah decided that the record still needed to see the light of day. Produced by J Rock, the cut is a fast-paced, horn-blaring head nodder with enough snappy snares crisp to compete with Grambling State’s Tiger Marching Band. On the mic the DJBooth Freestyle alum, who also just light up our stage at A3C, handles the rock nicely, delivering a clutch, rapid-fire flow that seals the deal and brings in the easy W. It seems inevitable that the Heat are destined for a great season. Could this song also be destined to become their unofficial anthem? The decision is yours, are there any Final Thoughts?

Putting aside my semi-dislike for LeBron after his Decision spectacle, there is obviously a lot to like here from GhostWridah (who crushed his performance this past weekend at our A3C showcase). The up-tempo production caters nicely to Ghost's chosen rhyme style and he ties in the Heat and NBA thems nicely, without getting corny or lost in the song.

Unlike Z I can't so easily put aside my hatred for the Heat...and by extension tributes to the Heat. However, I can be objective enough to admit this is yet another very well done joint from Ghost. I would have been more impressed if he has rhymed "Chalmers" or "Spoelstra", but like the team itself, love him or hate him, you have to take Wridah seriously.
Oh yeah, and go Celts! |

Ghostwridah killed it. He's good on any type of track, and he's always lyrical. He never fails.
