If hip-hop gave Just Blaze grief over sampling Haddaway’s What Is Love then they should be raising pitchforks at Cool & Dre over Game‘s newest single, Red Nation, from the oft-delayed R.E.D Album. The initial high pitched synths from Zombie Nation’s Kernkraft 400 collide with Game’s trademark scruffy voice and the results are mixed, even though all of the ingredients should say this should be a no brainer; Lil Wayne’s name attached, top producers and a rejuvenated rapper should be a win, right? Well, sampling Jock Jams of all things may raise a few eyebrows, but hasn’t raising eyebrows been Game’s calling card since his scowl and Raiders hat hit the scene almost a eight years ago? True, Game does sound at home name dropping everything from Zab Judah to Dancing With the Stars, but when you’re overshadowed by a Weezy chorus, that might not be enough. While Red Nation does make a great reference to the blood gang migration to New York City, and will undoubtedly provide DJBooth Nation with plenty to debate, only time will tell if it finally gets Game’s fourth album a solid release date.

Game is back baby! As the "Red Nation is the first official single from the "R.E.D. Album", we can expect a release date soon, I hope so. This is not his best work, but this is the top of his game right now, and we all have to accept that.

Game's back! While I liked The Documentary more than L.A.X., I was a huge fan of L.A.X., and this flow brings it back to that. Whatever it sounds like, it's better than most of what he's been doing lately.
Wayne was terrible! If you actually listen, the only line that makes any since is "B's up hos down", and we've all heard that before. "I can't tell you what's good but I can tell you what's what" Well I'll tell you that bitches don't bust nuts. This hook was pitiful. It's not like I'm expecting another My Life, but come on. Game name dropped J.Cole. Nice. |

Uhm... Didn't Maino JUST use this sample on 'Maino Nation'? Anyways, finally something good from The Game, I'm not particularly looking forward to R.E.D. but tracks like these will make me a tad keener. Not his best, but he is on his way again

I think everyone on here is surprised that this is actually a good track. Which just shows how bad Game's music has consistently been but hopefully that's in the past. Game was Game. I've never been a fan of him lyrically but it's his energy and emotion he puts, that I like.
Cool & Dre's production was dope and even the sample sounded great. Wayne's hook was the only weak part but it was easy to ignore. Also did anyone catch that Jay-Z line that Game flipped? "I made the yankee's hat more famous than the yankee's did."- Jay "I made the letter B more famous than the red sox fitted." |

Even though Im not a blood this is a hot track. Were this "Game" been for the past 3 yrs. The hook is fire and very creative by Lil' Wayne. This is a creative way to flip a stadium anthem by Cool & Dre.

Sorry to bring the rating down a bit, but I feel like people are overrating this simply due to the fact that it's the best track Game has released in quite some time. The production is nuts but Game's lyrics don't do much for me and Weezy's hook is pretty much horrendous (almost nauseatingly off-key and forced). Drop Weezy's chorus and just have the Kernkraft sample rock between the verses and this would be in rotation; for now, however, the track is just 'okay'.

After hearing it a few more times I can agree with others that tunechi's chorus aint great... I will give it 3, the song sounds good, but, just like a lot of the songs that are coming out right now we have HUGE names on the tracks and it gets our expectations up. This definitely did not meet my expectations....Not saying that it isnt Good/in rotation but its not great
