Game - Ain't No Doubt About It
Artist: Game
Featuring: Justin Timberlake , Pharrell Williams
Producer: Pharrell Williams
Album: R.E.D. Album
Label: Aftermath/Geffen/Interscope
It’s hard to know what to expect from west coast rider “don’t call me the” Game lately. One minute we’re listening to the atrocious P**sy Fight, the next we’re being hit with an over twenty minute 400 Bar (Freestyle), and today Jayceon is breaking us off with Ain’t No Doubt About It, perhaps the most radio-friendly track of his career, an effect that’s no doubt due primarily to yet another head-noddingly electronic beat from Pharrell and a smooth hook from Justin Timberlake (who thought we’d see the day when a former boy band member was the hookman on a “gangsta” rapper’s track?). Oh yeah, Game’s rhymes. While the Black Wall Street tycoon’s lines aren’t exactly quotable, or even particularly memorable, they do get the job done. In other words, he kind of sounds like a guest artist on his own track. So how about it? Does anyone doubt this track’s appeal? Honestly, I now have no idea what to expect when Game’s upcoming R.E.D. Album finally drops on June 15, but I’ve got my calendar marked.

Not a huge step up from It Must Be Me, but its definately better. Truthfully, I'm just glad to see Justin back in the game even if the chorus isn't amazing.

i know 50 wrote most of the lyrics of The Documentary, I want more of that!! Mediocre lyrics, nice beat but this should be Justin's song because most of this song is Justin singing. Anyone not believe me?

I'm sorry but I can't get over how Pharrell has ruined Game. This beat sounds like something out of a video game in the 80's, and Justin's hook wasn't good at all. Game just doesn't sound good on this. B.o.B. could have ripped this up, but not Game. I just can't believe that this is the single we have been waiting for...

@ Sabastian: Have you not heard his new album?!?! This production sounds like it would fit right in...or at least it could be a bonus track.

Reasonable track from The Game, though it is a little disapointing that this is the lead single. The Game and the hook sounded alright, though the production competely ruined this track. The Neptunes need to step their game up behind the boards

I like it, but after the first two albums that Game released I cannot help but (once again) be hugely disappointed. If this doesn't find its way onto the radio (at least out west), good luck finding another option.
PS. Pharrell makes this track. |

game sounds straight on this track and its a nice beat that he lays his skillz over but he way too quite on this track.
i need more energy from the game this is too laid back and non explosive at all im guessing this is the last track on the album then right or atleast i think it should be. its solid no lie but it doesnt deserve too be a single at all. games i know you still got it after all how can anybody hate on "games pain". pick it up on production or expect mediocre sales its straight 3 spins (we still love ya game!!!!!!!!!) |

Game just hasn't been the same since his feud with 50 to me. He's had good success, but I feel he's jumping around too much. He goes hard over the 400 bars with a 20 minute rap and then he has weak songs where he raps with auto-tune and falls on his face. JT will sell any song to any girl basically and that would be fine if it was only JT, but this is Game. He's westcoast, he's supposed to be hard not getting into this sweet junk. I enjoy Pharrell on this and he probably makes the song with a good hook with JT. Just not the old Game though.

Game is dope, Red Room was dope. This is questionable. Love the Neptunes. I dont know how this collab will work out on his album, hearing that theyre doing the majority of his songs. I need Documentary Game back!

Yo Dj Baer, I totally agree, The Game is making a BIG mistake embracing Pharrell's (sometimes cheap-sounding) production. The Game's allure was his gangsta-ness, but can you go anymore pop than this song? The Game has really fallen off recently, he's making a lot of questionable decisions about the sound that he's making for himself. I really loved old Game, hopefully he can return soon

JT did 50's track a couple years back and that was a hit, Ayo Tech or something so it's been done before. But this aint cutting it. What's happened to Pharrell? This is waaaay to funky for its own good, and Game's. It just clashes. In this case the parts are worth more separately than the whole

Justin Timberlake ft. Game and Pharrell.
Song is soft and not even catchy. I was hoping for something big here, and got disappointed. I mean JT makes hits with T.I. like no ones business, even Ayo Technology with 50 was good. This, not at all. |

When I first listened to this song, I was dissapointed to hear some production that sounded like a background theme song for a video game. Some artists could rap on this beat and make it work. That is the main problem I have with this song. The Game's "gangster" deep voice doesnt fit well with this oversimplified "pop" type of beat. I know he is trying to regain his popularity with the mainstream and try to snatch that West Coast crown from the new cats of the "Left", but I'm not feeling this at all. I know Game can do better than do this. Decent, nothing really to get excited about.

I think people got things wrong. Everyone is saying the production is wack, when in reality it's FIRE...Game just does not fit Pharell's production AT.ALL. If you had a Snoop Dogg over this with Pharell and JT it would be an absolute HIT.
Great Producer+Great Artist does NOT =HITS... Great Artist+The RIGHT Producer for that artist=MAGIC Game spits some average bars and im also not feeling the mix of his vocals too much. GREAT BEAT gone to waste...smh |

I do not like this after only 30 seconds into it. The beat isn't good with the whole video game electronic sound...considering it never changes throughout at all.
I was expecting more for J Timb on the hook but I was hugely disappointed maybe because the production outshined the hook being overly loud and annoying. And don't even get me started on Game' verses...he is just getting worse and worse. Lyrics just are not what the use to be and he talks about cars, clothes, and money on just about every song now it seems. I'm still a fan of Game and he never fails to bring the gangster appeal but wow he needs to step his "Game" up or R.E.D. album will be the failure of his career. |

This is probably the best thing Ive heard from the Red Album (though thats not saying much) The beat is kinda throwback to 2002 when Neptunes was on everything, i like that :D
But for a Game record......this isnt really working for me.... As a big fan of Games music, this is not what i was hoped the red album would sound like :( His first 2 albums were classic, LAX was dope...but this single makes me doubt the greatness of R.E.D.....hopefully im proven wrong! 3 stars |

Ok, so here's the plan. Invent a time machine and remove Game from this track. Give it over to JT, and put on the Clipse for a guest verse. Now tell me that wouldn't be a hit?
As is, this one might move units for Game, so I can't hate. Still, personally, this is more of a miss than a hit for me. |

Seriously Game step it up, this record looked like a pop smash on paper but turned into an average song I hear on the radio everyday. Game sounds uninspired and JT doesn't do enough to turn this into a banger.

And yet another disappointment. His last album was full of dope tracks and I have yet to hear a good one from his RED album. This kind of beat does not fit his style at all, its good for Pharrell and JT but not the Game

It's funny, I don't know why everyone wants to do tracks with Justin Timberlake. I have absolutely no idea as to what the game is trying to accomplish with this song. Seems really forgettable and it feels as this should be Justin's song seeing as how he made up most of it.
Game on this style of track really has me questioning whether or not his album is actually worth buying. Might just torrent it if this combined with recent horrible singles are gonna be on it. AS for the song, Justin was okay, Pharrell was barely noticeable and the Game is just destroying his former image. Production really started to get on my nerves after a while. Sounds like a video game or something. In short, no I would not play this again. |

I'm not feeling it. This isn’t the type of song I hear when I think of Game, and he's barely there. More importantly the beat is fun... for a few seconds, and wears out its welcome faster than you can say - annoying.
Back to the drawing board! |

Few producers have such a strong signature sound as my man Pharrell.
Ain't no doubt he produced this! =) The funky bassline is sick and electronic sound is a great listen. This sounds like something you'd get in JT's "Justified", so it's no surprise how comfortable he was on this. Now Game... :s how come you're gonna sound like a feature on your own song man? *sigh* And I don't even mind him goin for a catchy radio route, it's how he doesn't try hard. |
