Last week, the hip-hop world was rocked by news that a certain West Coast mainstay had decided to drop the definite article and go by plain old “Game.” Since he offered no explanation, we can only speculate: Was it a cost-saving measure? Did a certain DJBooth track reviewer singlehandedly bring the one-word moniker back in style? Was it an attempt to build buzz for his latest LP without going through the effort of, you know, doing something interesting? OK, maybe that last one was a little Krazy. Anyway, Game’s latest street single finds the retitled emcee flaunting his skills with the ladies and his flashy accouterments with the help of a heavyweight producer and a certain currently-ubiquitous guest rapper. In addition to serving up a street-certified, guitar/organ-driven head-nodder of a beat as Game and (surprise, surprise) Gucci Mane deliver their boastful bars, Timbaland steps up to the mic to tout his own female appeal on the back end. So, does The Game by a slightly different stage name still sound as sweet? If you think so, mark your calenders for the Dec. 8, release of The R.E.D. album, and keep it locked to the Booth for all the latest tunes.

Not the most lyrical song ive heard from GAME especially with Gucci on the same track but its still straight... Wouldnt recommend this bein on R.E.D. tho... Great mixtape banger 4 sure!

If gucci wasnt on this, id probably like it better, they shoulda just kept him on the hook and scrapped his verses i was surprised to hear timbo rock the end of this..dude came outta nowhere...imo he has one of the best 'rapper' voices in the game hehe |

Whew that beat is Krazy. This would be a good opening track to R.E.D. otherwise I don't think it should be on the album. I have heard other things off this album and I must say this is the album I am most excited for within the year.

This was aight but I really expected more out of this. This Timbo production is certainly not one of my favorites of his and Gucci on the hook is a giant fail in my opinion. Game was decent but not memorable. I will probably not listen to this again. Anyone heard Game's new song "Better Days?" That song is real.

Beat is banging but Gucci and Game absolutely murder this, and not in the good way. Both verses are awful. My expectations for the R.E.D. album just skydived. What a waste of great production.
P.S. The chorus on this is essentially the same rhyme scheme as "Wasted". |

Beat is funny (I feel you thehotchoclet) but turns out catchy. Game is The Game. Subject is dumb.
But Gucci? What's wrong with his tongue?! I would be remorseful for calling him retard so many times if he showed up with a medical report sayin he actually has a problem. But until that happens... what a joke! |

Rotation, but not too impressed. Game's music was better with Dre/50 (as much as he doesn't want to accept this fact). Timbo's production work is fun, but nothing groundbreaking.

The verses on this song are decent, but the hook & the production are terrible.
Timbaland continues his streak of making crapping sounding beats. I havnt heard anything decent from him in 6 months. I hope Game (I prefer calling him 'The Game') didnt pay to much for the production & the Gucci feature. |

Game took a big step down with the lyrics and flow to match Goochie. Goochie stepped up a little but like jkc said, no chemistry. Timbo- go on a hiatus and get your ish straight. You've sucked the past few months. Definitely the weakest producer on BP3. Overall, this trick will signal me to hit "NEXT" when I listen to the RED Album

Good lord, I'm not hating, but I really need a break from Gucci Mane, he's everywhere.
In any case, I prefer my Game a little harder than talking about shopping sprees, this one's just not doing it for me. Really hoping this isn't indicative of what we'll get on the new album.

It was more of like a Gucci Mane ft. Game & Timbaland joint titled "Lazy" then the other way around.
Expected more from his first street single… and out of all the people he picked Gucci Mane who after delivering quite a surprise on "Wasted (Remix)" gets back to his unlistenable lazy drawl. And it seems Mr. Mosley is saving his most epic and experimental beats for Magoo's upcoming epic three disk opus. Ya know wat I mean? |

The beat just sounded empty to me. I've been feeling like Timbo's beats are on the slide. At least when he's putting them on other peoples tracks. Another thing is that he's the only one who sounds at all natural on the beat.

This song is awful, probably one of the worst Game songs I have ever heard. I was excited to hear that Game was releasing an album soon, but I was very disapointed and not optomistic that it would be very good. So far all his releases seem rushed and unperfected. I want an all Kanye produced Game album, Bang Along is his finest work and then he releases this trash.

Saw game and gucci and was like dam, this should be interesting. Production is crazy but just alright to me. Hook is ok but too quiet and lacking energy. Game sounded weird on the beat to me, nothing special at all. Gucci sounded grainey too. Timbalands verse was the best but just ok too.
