Game has officially released the latest single off the forever-forthcoming R.E.D. Album dropping…well, supposedly August 23. Featuring Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Fabolous, and anyone else you’ve ever heard on a DJ Khlaed remix, the new Lex Luger-produced banger, Bottles and Rockin J’s, is intended to make your trunk knock and your head nod. Bottles and previous single Red Nation, which was banned everywhere except the internet, are similar in the sense that they’re both pretty descent album cuts. Busta kicks off the festivities with his highly beloved speed rapping style before Game takes the mic, followed by a verse a piece from every guest emcee. While no one had particularly great-nor-horrible verse, Fab and Weezy will likely be the easiest targets for those looking to criticize. In the end, Luger enthusiasts will surely add this to their summer playlists, but I’m still waiting on that WOW single that will give us a reason to believe that the wait for the R.E.D. Album was worth it. How about you?

I always write that artists need to remember that music should be quality over quantity. Clearly, Game doesn't give a f**k what I think.
What did I like? Busta KILLS his verse and Game sounds solid over the Lex Luger production. What didn't I like? Everything else. Fab and Weezy sound sleepy, Rick sounds out of place, and Khaled doesn't add to the record at all. Aug 23 might come and go with the release of this album, but this single won't help much.

As a former The Game fan (before the silly name change), it hurts to give a song of his this rating. But what can you do when the man reminds you of Gucci Mane (chorus, 2:47 on and 3:00 again), and you only get one good verse (Busta was grea) out of 4 features?! PS: this is so depressing that I'm not even in the mood to make jokes about Luger's recycled beats PPS: I think we can definitely declare Busta's back since his Tech N9ne and later contributions

I dug this more than the todays J. Cole song (how is that rated 4 stars while this is rated 2, do some of you even listen to the tracks?).
Production from Luger is hard, im over hearing the hate for him. How does this sound exactly the same as all his other tracks (it has similar elements ill admit). Busta & Game were dope, Loso was decent though Ross & Weezy prob wernt needed here |

Not really a fan of the posse cut... Or DJ Khaled but this is pretty tight. Lex delivers the usual (which is dope). The hook is lazy. Busta Kills it but the rest of them sound uninspired

i tried to make myself like this song (really i did) but i guess im getting sick of hearing these songs with a gang of appearances over the same type of beat that i heard rick spit on, wayne spit on, etc etc.

This might be the worst hook I have ever heard. I think I could write something better. THe beats was solid, as was Busta, but I wasn't feeling anything else, especially Ross. This is what is wrong with Hip-Hop.

I think a lot of you are rating this song much too harshly. Khaled's name should not even be near this but what's different that most of the other projects he's "involved" with. Game's hook was weak but the rest of the song was average. I thought Fab's verses were solid, Busta killed it and Game's verses were above average for him as of late. Overall its not something I want to hear on repeat but listening to it once every week or so would be tolerable.

I feel like I'm a bit dummer after listening to that.. thankfully busta kept me from going brain dead, but the rest of the song will lower your IQ every time you hear it.

I dont understand, what the F++K happened to Game?
Is it just me or ever since he dropped 'The' out of his name his just not the same. yes he goes hard, yes his mic skills are still fantastic but his production choice is horrible. Lex Luger has the same production in every one of his songs, he just adds this banging bass and hopes everyone will go oh WOW, thats hard son. Well its not, so mix it up thanks. To be honest, the only song Ive liked from Game since LAX is Rough ft Yelawolf. Thats the Game I love (plus Yelawolf is unbelievable). Busta is the only reason I clicked on this anways. |
