Despite plenty of pre-release hype (mostly centered around their ex-member Young Buck), G-Unit‘s sophomore album, T.O.S. (Terminate on Sight) premiered at #4 on the Billboard 200, selling a paltry 102,000 copies. The disappointing total has prompted many to pronounce the Unit dead, but 50, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo aren’t ready to give up just yet. The threesome returns with their new single, Close to Me, which (again) targets their female audience, but has a few shortcomings (Yayo should not try to imitate The-Dream‘s vocal style). Either way, accompanied by Chris Styles‘s hypnotic piano beat, consider Close to Me to be G-Unit’s “make-or-break” single; only time will tell which one happens.

Chris Styles' production is pretty dope. I actually like the hook as well. I actually think this step in the right direction away from a death of the UNIT. I'm still not really a fan of them, but this is better than the other stuff they've been coming out with lately. 50 and Lloyd sounded pretty good on it. Yayo....well, that's another story. I'll throw it rotation . I don't agree with the subject matter though. Not at all.
Hottest song off the album in my opinion. Banks kills the chorus and his verse. He shines here more than 50 or yayo. I miss Buck though, not gonna lie. This is a radio and club killer.

the song is hot we got too many haters on tha booth.and the reason g unit sold 100000 copies is because,interscope didn't ship enough copies to the stores, best buy didn't even have it,and u culdn't get it on itunes because everytime i tried to download it it had an error my friends saw that error too
overall,lazy...same ol'...n if this is the hottest song on the 'L' then these guys arent just "over the hill," they're well and truely down the otherside

God it was hard to listen to this song the lyrics are so annoying and bad thats why G-Urine is just a wack group with wack ass rappers. I also find it funny the line were 50 says you "cant confuse other cliques or groups its the unit" Of course 50 you cant confuse it because when you here a crap rap song by a rap group you know its the Urine.
I actually think this is a smooth track and could see it being their next single. I do think Banks went in this time but it could have been better if 50 and Yayo made their presence known.

surprisingly, this isn't nearly as bad as some of that other ish the Booth has been playin from the Unit. oh wait. 50's verse is over. these group albums or whatever are proof that there are too many rappers in the game that don't have much talent

Decent production but i don't see this track getting to high on the charts, similar to their disapointing start on billboard 200. Young Buck is missed for sure. Is 50 losing his popularity? It sure seems like it.. time will tell i suppose
Beat is coo, but Gay-Unit is done son.. Thank god! The flow and swag is so boring, and yayo shouldnt have even attempted to sound like the dream. It sounds horrible.
you take 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo, put em together and what do u get? a horrible group, take em apart and u get 3 awesome solo artists, this song aight, not a g-unit fan
Yeah I'm not a big fan of this song or G-Unit really, but damn this song isn't as bad as any other song that averages 2-stars on this site. I say it is 2.5 stars/OK, but it's sort of surprising/interesting to me to see that there are more people who are hating on G-Unit than people who are loving them. I don't know what they are doing wrong but anyway...I can see this song having some radio/MTV charts success...but not a whole lot. Just not something I'd prefer to listen to when someone else has something better.

The beat is banging in my opinion...but G Unit make this song extremely boring! I have never liked them, and never will. Their flows are sooo boring! This beat could have been exploited better and I also noticed it is similar to Poppin Them Thangs (above all the final part)
this is one of the better songs on the album but even with the "100000" interscope shipped, the unit only sold 36,000 last week. truth is, people aren't feeling the whole g-unit movement. cats are too cocky for their own good. no humility
this @*#$! is hot and this album is fire. compared to most other @*#$! on this site and in the stores we should be thankful that the unit is still putting @*#$! out there. oh well i will bump it, you all can enjoy another soulja boy remix or whatever

THIS IS A HOT TRACK G-UNIT'S CD IS BETTER THAN WHAT PEOPLE WHO LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE SAY IT IS. ALMOST EVERY SONG ON THE ALBUM IS GOOD, I MAY SKIP 1 TRACK. ITS THE TYPE OF PRODUCTION THAT NO TRACK SOUNDS THE SAME AND IT DOES'NT HAVE DUMB SKITS THAT TAKE UP TRACK SPACE. IT GIVES MUSIC THAT THING I LOVE.
