While G-Scott might not have enough money to buy a foreign whip or grab Kanye for a guest feature, the Gary, Indiana native is certainly rich in spirit and lyrical content. Rich Broke, a DJBooth.net premiere and the latest single off of his new album, 1983, features the hungry Midwesterner lamenting about the daily grind and the struggle to earn enough paper to live right. In the song’s official visuals, the emcee visits a decrepit building, in which he shares his carefully crafted lyrics with a passionate, hungry flow that rings out over the soulful boardwork of producer Johnny Amo. Despite his struggle to make end’s meet, next week, Scott is set to release his latest full-length for free stream and download via The DJBooth. Looks like the young man is paying it forward.

Pretty good wordplay by G-Scott. The flow is good enough to run it back for another listen.

I would've given this one star if not for the production.
