Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Future may seem like an incongruous trio, but they have at least one key trait in common: they’re all Honest to a fault. Rather than candidly admitting his mistakes, as the first U.S. President is fabled to have done when he chopped down a cherry tree in his youth, the Epic Records hitmaker prefers to center his real talk around his positive qualities. On the latest single off his sophomore set, he does just that, dropping a few Autotuned truth bombs regarding the size of his bankroll, his exotic wardrobe, and his rock star lifestyle. Metro Boomin and DJ Spinz provide a swirling synth beat to accompany his braggadocious, but one-hundred-percent truthful bars. Formerly titled Future Hendrix, Future’s sophomore set now shares its name with this single. Watch for Honest, the LP, to hit record stores and online retailers on Tuesday, November 26.
