Fresh Daily - Pastelz
Artist: Fresh Daily
Featuring: Theo Martins
Producer: Muneshine
Album: Anmlhse Mixtape
Label: High Water Is Music
I know what you’re thinking, but no; Pastelz, the brand new single from Fresh Daily, isn’t about those things you were forced to draw with in high school art class. Or maybe I was the only one thinking that. In any case, those who prefer summer jams to smeary crayons are likely to dig what the Brooklyn rapper (and exclusive freestyle series contributor) serves up on his latest feature, a mellow track which finds the artist addressing the evergreen topic of warm-weather recreation over the hazy sample work of Muneshine. Knowing that long, lazy summer days are best spent with good friends, the headliner enlists the guest verse services of Rhode Island native Theo Martins, who spends his opening verse laying out the perfect summer day. A perfect joint to flip on in your whip during a leisurely drive through the city streets, Pastelz is set for inclusion on Fresh’s forthcoming Anmlhse promo mixtape, which has yet to receive a release date. Keep it locked for further details!

Richard totally stole my thunder by mentioning the summery-feel of this record. This mellow, very retro, and smooth jam is perfect for recreational listening during the summer months and features two emcees who rock over the beat as best you could ask for. I'm a fan - are you?

Where's that sample from? She sounds like a Portuguese Sade? Anyone? Fresh Daily?
Although it may be 100 degrees on the east coast, out in L.A. it's 75 sunny (as always) and this is the perfect track to mellow out while sipping some beers on the porch. Really impressive cut from Fresh, props. |

Smooth, and chilled out. Cool sample too. I like the change-up in the second part of the beat in the verse. Nice work Fresh Daily. Solid 4 stars.
