A buzzmaking electro/dance artist hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Freeze-Tag introduces himself to our pages with his rendition of a joint by Swedish electronic group Little Dragon (previously featured on SBTRKT‘s Drizzy-assisted remix of Wildfire). An ethereal spin on the spare, haunting orignial, Freeze’s cover of Twice finds him delivering frontwoman Yukimi Nagano’s cryptic lyrics through cavernous reverb, backed by an atmospheric wash of synths and a skeletal percussion rhythm. Intrigued? Then you’ll most definitely want to check out the rest of the fresh, eclectic material the artist’s lined up for his Eskimo EP, scheduled to drop digitally in February of next year.
