The 131st entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Freeway, the Philly street veteran who recently earned reader acclaim for single She Makes Me Feel Alright. On his brand new, previously-unreleased Trap Door freestyle, the Rhymesayers emcee flows over a Jake One-produced instrumental originally featured on The Trap Door, an MF DOOM collaboration off the beatsmith’s White Van Music LP. Freeway is currently preparing for the February 16 release of The Stimulus Package, a collaborative album with Jake One.

One of, if not my favorite, freestyles of the entire series. Freeway beasted this Jake One beat (which Doom did as well on the original) and he even incorporated our tag line. How bout them apples? This is exactly why we started this series last year, February.

But anytime i hear Freeway+Freestyle, i think of Cassidy's 1st degree homicide of Freeway in their battle a few years ago.But yeah anyways. 5* |

Freeway is one of the best freestylers of my time. He kills this and I love Jake's beat, they're simple but a little bit complex at the same time(if that's even possible). Hope Free freestyles over every song on the album.

This was a nasty freestyle. One of the best I've heard in this series. Sick flow, sick punchlines, and the production was tight too. Liked the shoutouts too. Classic freestyle right here!

It takes something like a freestyle to separate good rappers from a great one. I must be late on this, but freeway is signed to rhymesayers?!?!?!?! That explains the recent increase in quality of work and really gets me excited about his next project!
