One’s a grizzled veteran who’s seen it all, the other a precociously talented youngster only beginning to learn the ways of the game… no, I’m not describing the plot of the latest buddy-cop movie (though I’ll sell the rights to that idea if you’re buying). I’m talking about P.A., a newly-released EP cut which finds Philly mainstay Freeway and Pittsburgh buzzmaker Mac Miller coming together to celebrate their shared love for the Keystone State. Over the characteristically smooth, string-driven boardwork by Massachusetts heavyweight Statik Selektah, the collaborators (both freestyle alumni) deliver their freshest Pennsylvania-themed bars, Free focusing on braggadocio and local color (Notably, he makes the prediction “Next year’s Super Bowl: Eagles vs. Steelers”), and Miller lacing the back with engagingly-flowed wordplay. Old school meets new school and the teacher with the chalk in his hands is Statik Selektah? They had me at "hello." And yes, the rumors are true, this was done in one take. One f**king take. Who says hip hop isn't alive today?

How does Mac Miller get a feature on a Freeway joint? Crazy! Opinions aside, this is pretty hot fire. Freeway was just meeeean on this, and Mac's flow is dope. I can't hate on him anymore. I just can't. The dude has skills.

Without a doubt, Mac Miller killed this track. Production from Statik was nice and is a clear representation of a truly great producer doing what he does best. Freeway was nice as well. I think the trophy for best performance goes to Mr. "Nikes On My Feet" Mac Miller, though.

Hip-Hop isn't alive in the commercial world. But if you do some searching you can easily find a lot real hip-hop artists.
Freeway's not signed? I thought he was signed with Jay-Z's label. I've never really been a big fan of Freeway, but I am a big fan Statik Selektahs. |

A little odd to hear Free and Mac on the same track, they're on such different ends of the rhyme spectrum, but in a lot of ways that's what makes this work.
Steelers vs. Eagles may be pushing it, but PA's definitely repping here.

Not that i give a s%&£ about 'PA' but this is hard, never heard of Mac miler this is number 2 decent track since the new year. number one at the mo is wiz and snoop (personally) anyway...NICE

Freeway really got me with his last record. It was a banger. This is not as good as the last one was, but a solid record. Mac Miller did great in this. And the production was pretty nice from Statik.

Freeway and Statik together on one track. You know its gonna be fire. Add an up and comer like Mac Miller to the mix that fits perfectly in, and you got one hot track. I'm loving the production on here. This is definitely a head-nodder that had me pressing the repeat button multiple times.

i just liked the track while freeway was rapping over this dope beat but i start loving this track when mac miller starts his verse. this could have been a banger without freeway.
