Freeway‘s been enjoying something of a DJBooth hot streak in January 2010, bringing us one one of our most highly acclaimed exclusive freestyles to date (Trap Door currently sits at #2 on our Freestyle Chart) as well as reader-approved single She Makes Me Feel Alright. The perfect capstone to a month of high-quality tunes, newly-leaked album track One Thing finds the Philly street veteran addressing that most loathed of creatures, the rat. Over production partner Jake One‘s head-nodding, soul-sampled instrumental, Freeway vents his fury at the “snake n*ggas” who are all too willing to sell him out when the going gets tough. Wu-Tang alum Raekwon provides moral support in his deadpan closing verse, giving would-be backstabbers fair warning of what awaits them: “Keep snitchin’ on your man, you’re gonna fry in a pan…” If you like what you’re hearing, you can expect plenty more hot beats and hard-hitting street lyricism on Freeway and Jake One’s hotly-anticipated Stimulus Package LP, set to drop February 16 via Rhymesayers.

Man, I'm so in love with this beat that I think I'd just listen to the instrumental, and that's a Jake One compliment, not a Freeway diss.

WOW that beat is crazy. The beat gets a 6 and Free/Rae get a 4, so Im giving this a 5.

I'll admit that I once was a freeway hater, I always felt he was just yelling. Since he signed with Rhymesayers he has been KILLING it though and I am now a fan.

Not a huge Freeway fan (voice is really annoying) but he did good lyrically!!
Raekwon smashed this!!
Jake One was the real highlight on this track!!
ClASSIC but Freeway's annoying voice dumbed it down!!

The production aint for me, but I agree with people here that Freeway has stepped his game up. Respect rating of 3, personal likeable rating of two.

Although beat is a little slow for my taste but I suppose that's why I'm liking it... the simplicity of it. Both Freeway and Raekwon turn in good performances, spitting solid rhymes bout the chosen subject matter of "Frienemies".

I am a fan of Freeway, because Jay made him hot, yes, he does have his own solo hot tracks, but I am letting you know what drew me to him. This production was hot, it went well with Freeway and Raekwon together. I almost would love to hear another track from them both again. Like I've said before, it takes a lot for me to give out a 5 star rating, so don't not listen to this track, it's very worthy of a certain rotation in the right mix of an iPod or CD. I'm looking forward to more. But as far as Beans goes, taking a step down to G-Unit isn't going to acquire more fame. I can tell you that, I am a fan of G-Unit in a certain complicated way, but I see him leaving as more of a negative thing a good thing. Anyhow, the two artist on the track, did their thing.
