If you’re a clued-in Freddie Gibbs fan, I don’t need to tell you that the emcee dropped a new tape earlier this week. For those not in the know, however, the Gary, Indiana gangster (and freestyle series alum) is offering you a wake-up call in the form of newly-leaked standout cut Str8 Slammin. Here, Booth-approved beat crew SMKA serve up a pensive arpeggiated-synth instrumental to back Gibbs and Three 6 co-founder Juicy J. as they drop low-key yet intense bars about their respective hustles. Released this past Monday, Freddie Gibbs’ Cold Day in Hell street album is available now online.

This really sounds like some Three-6-Mafia type track right here. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing at this point. The production is OK, but this type beat is pretty played out right now. Gibbs flow is aight on here. Chorus is pretty weak and Juicy J was pretty dead on here too..

Everything works for me here besides the weak hook from Gibbs, also with Blaze that Juicy J was lacking, he started off promising butt hen just gave up. Beat mainly the highlight here.
