Ludacris’s Nate Dogg-assisted classic, Area Codes, contains over forty different…well… area codes from around the country. You name the hoe-filled “hot spot” and Luda had it covered. Of all the three-digit selections that the rapper identified, however, 4-1-2 was not among them. While it is unknown if the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, does indeed have worthy “hoes,” the Steel City is without a doubt an on-the-rise “hot spot” for brand new hip-hop talent. Following in the footsteps of recent noisemakers Wiz Khalifa and Boaz, are fellow natives Franchise and Ghostwriter. The two indie emcees team up over a street-level DJ Green Lantern production on Hip-Hop Homicide. If you like what you hear, check for Franchise’s forthcoming project, Schitzophrenic Mindset.
The beat was way too much for these two they couldn't ride it at all plus I didn't think the beat was good to begin with. Both them have sum skillz on the mic but this track didn't fit them in my opinion.
Yeah... feelin the flow. Needs more work on the production which will make it a banger, but in the mean time, it's in rotation... I can definitely listen to this again
Dude has a pretty good flow and clever lyrics. His delivery sort of makes me fall asleep though. He needs to bring something more to the table. I'll have him on the radar.
Honestly, u cnt really downplay this too much its cam'rons original beat and i think fran and gohst ripped dis @*#$! into peices like they both come with a pretty versatile style on it and also u guys need to peep his joints on myspace www.myspace.com/pghsfranchise boii lockin @*#$! down in the 4-1-2 FAREALLLL ... CHECK EM OUT !
So what defines a freestyle? Jay-Z never writes so does he have 10 platinum albums off free? I think a lot of other rappers (not Franchise) use it as an excuse for weakly written lyrics, 50 in particular. Is there a hip-hop officer in the booth making sure its off the top of his head?
