Since her release from Riker’s on April 18, Foxy Brown has done everything in her power to get her career and life back on track. To start, she will release Brooklyn’s Don Diva (her first album in about seven years, set to drop on May 13), followed by a brand new VH1 reality show shortly thereafter. All in all, the veteran femcee is ready to reaffirm her status in the industry by holding down her borough and showing that she’s Too Real. Assisting Foxy is once-upon-a-time Firm member, AZ, who shows his support by urging the troubled rapper to stay clean. With laid-back production from Statik Selektah (who samples Fox Boogie‘s Oh Yeah and Nas‘s It Was Written), the end result is an all Too Real track that most DJBooth regulars should find “chill.”
This is a chillin beat, not really feelin her voice with it though, but you better be watchin out for Foxy, she's gonna get inspired after gettin outta Riker's.
I like this beat! Yea, CHILL is a good way of puttin it! Never been a big fan of fox, but I dig AZ on this! I would have loved to seen Nas on this too!
Not really feelin what Foxy has put out since she's came back. I was never actually a big fan, so maybe I'm biased. Oh well. Nothin impresses me much on this track.
yea this is that typical foxy brown im used to but u best believe she gonna come harder on her album , cant wait for it to drop and it does have that chill feelin
BDF44 has the right idea... let's get NAS on this one too! That FIRM action is much much much to old school for the majority of the new school kiddo's, but they had MUCHO potential to make history back in the day. If they are reading this... ITS STILL NOT TOO LATE.
This is a HOT track right here. This reminds me of AZ and Foxy back in the late 90's when they was killing it! Both of them are Back to Form on this Track! Great Lyrics and good beat make this a CERTIFIED DJ BLAZE BANGER!
Where do I start...okay, I like the Al Hudson and One Way sample(only old school heads know who that is!!)so the beat gets a thumbs up. As far as the lyrics...I agree with everyone who said Foxy came a little to rough for this track but it's nice to hear her again. AZ....I got a theory about AZ that I've shared with the world since The Firm was out and I always make people laugh when i say it. To me, AZ is Nas IF Nas sucked. If Nas was not lyrically blessed, he would sound like AZ....he's Nas Lite. Everytime I hear AZ I think,"They should cut him out and insert Nas for a better overall song" if Nas ain't on the track already. That's probably why a few of you said you wish Nas was on the track...think about it.
This song is Bangin. Az and Foxy together is fire! I agree with nas this would be a classic, but regardless these 2 delivered. This is the perfect match. 2 of the most underrated.
YES! THE FIRM needs to come back!!! =D
(@ RTB, Nas said he was down with it...just needs to hear from the rest of 'em...but at the same time rappers always say a bunch of ish they don't mean HAHA) ...oh well, he had me hopeful for about 5 seconds =P
Btw, this song is aight. I love anything with AZ in it so it gets an extra star
