Fonzworth Bentley has already risen to borderline-household name status via reality TV/music video appearances, Sprite ads, and even an etiquette manual for the street set, but with the release of his long-awaited debut album, hip-hop’s foremost fop will reveal his true C.O.L.O.U.R.S. to a wider audience than ever before. Fittingly, considering the blend of cutting-edge and retro that defines Bentley’s style, the LP’s lead single is a decidedly modern cut based around one of the oldest sayings in the book: “The grass is always Greener on the other side.” Over a synth-heavy instrumental by Christopher Scholar (co-produced by Dion Watkins), Fonzworth describes his enchantment with a woman who seems so much better (and quite a bit bigger, apparently) than the last one. Complete with a catchy hook by acclaimed R&B crooner Anthony Hamilton, Greener is sure to leave CoolOutrageousLovers- OfUniquelyRawStyle in the Booth and beyond bobbing their heads, but will it score Bentley’s LP a solid release date? We’ll have to wait and see.

The beat had my ears listening from the start. Fonzworth Bentley doesnt have that good rhymes but his voice on this song keeps you interesting. Im diggin Anthony Hamilton on the hook as well perfect for a smooth summer track! In rotation

Honestly - this is the best record I have EVER heard from Fonz. He rides the beat exactly how you'd expect an emcee to do here and A. Hamilton is a gift to ear drums all around the world. Bring on COLOURS.

I thought the hook was the high-point. The production was decent and the verses kind of bored me. 2.5, I'll round up. |

I'm going to be honest when I say that Fonz sounds boring, but I'm also going to say that this production is AWESOME!! And that hook aint too bad, either. All in all, the rhymes don't take too much away from the track. Four stars.

This track was pretty cool, so its in rotation. I'm inbetween Bowwserr and DJ Z: Fonz' flow is kinda mellow so it can sound boring, but you can't deny that he rides the beat well. His flow is kinda funny to me at times, so I was feelin it. The hook was OK, but kinda bland, and the production was just OK.

Can anyone say...
"Baby you know that I miss you, I wanna get with you tonight But I cannot baby girl and that's the issue Girl you know I miss you, I just wanna kiss you But I can't right now so baby kiss me thru the phone, I'll see you later on Kiss me thru the phone, see you when I get home" LOL...naw. But this is different for Fonzworth. It's okay right now. Maybe it will grow on me. I think's rotation worthy tho. Production is smash...even if it does have a Mr. Teen of the South type vibe. |

Fonzworth is that guy you say you dont care for but somehow his lyrics keep you interested enough to listen to the whole track!! Odly enough i listened and i liked!! Anthony Hamilton killed the hook which is the best part of the song apart from the production!! |
