Having hooked up with Rapper Big Pooh on the recently-featured Idols and Role Models (Perspective #2), Focus… recruits the other half of Little Brother‘s mic contingent on this newly-leaked cut off his forthcoming street release. Mellow banger UH! finds Phonte grabbing the mic to drop some serious knowledge over the Aftermath beatsmith’s chopped soul samples. Like what you’re hearing?  Focus isnt that bad on the Mic, but Phonte is one of my favorite MCs so I wish that we got some more verses from him. Production hits hard too, Im feeling the vocal sample.

I saw the vid of Focus making this track, was nice to see how he selected the sample. As for the final product, well cant you hear? - its sunk straight into being a classic hip hop track.
sounds like a beat that common could do with. Drums have always been crisp and powerful or shall I say attentive to da ear. I just do not know how he manages it! voices are smooth and focused - dont mean any pun thats what i thought. - uses starwars n yoda in his lyrics - always cool, phonte put the icing on the cake I cant just say its a good track. read the above. |

Phonte, What up! Carolina representer! Okay so the production on this track is on point. Its smooth, but goes hard at the same time. Focus verse was decent, but Phonte really shined. He said "laptop goons thuggin it in HTML", and the Silent Bob and Clerks reference. Phonte is sick! Of course this is no suprise.

Focus is one of the most under rated producers out!!! Anyone reading this needs to check out some of his other tracks! Him and Kida are like the underground snoop and Dre! Focus Keep doing what you do!
