Judging by Booth feedback on the Cash Money head honcho’s past features, many are of the opinion that Birdman‘s records succeed in spite of, not because of the headliner’s contributions. Here to put that hypothesis to the test are Alexei Jendayi and Kowboy Kom of D.C. duo Fly Gypsy, bringing us the world premiere of the first leak off their forthcoming ‘remixtape’ – a Birdman-less version of Pricele$$ track I Want It All. Over Alexei’s tweaked take on Kevin Rudolf and Arrowstar‘s synth-scorching beat (fortified with a sample from Rob Base & DJ E Z Rock’s It Takes Two,) Kom delivers hard-partying opening and closing bars, boasting “I get stupid, I mean outrageous/ I can make the flu sick, we mix contagious.” Complete with Weezy F. Baby‘s off-the-wall middle verse, this revamp’s got all the makings of a smash, but I’ll let readers have the final say on how it stacks up against the original. Set to drop in March at this year’s SXSW festival, Fly Gypsy’s FG*XL:remixtape will feature flipped versions of tracks by Wale, Snoop, Radiohead and more. Stay tuned for more leaks in the weeks ahead!

FIRE!!
all i can say. The verses are sick. The track is stronger and has more drive to it! The "it Takes Two" breakdown is funky! DOPE!

You're right - nobody ever misses a Birdman contribution, haha. I'll take a verse (or two) from Komplex over the 5-Star Stunna any day of the week. Funny thing? I think Universal execs might agree with me. I digress.

The production work here is club-ready and a step up (or two) from the original version. Wayne's vocals don't sound out of place at all in the middle and the overall vibe is very enjoyable. Next...

This beat is absolutely crazy which was easily the best part of the original. Like Z said, Birdman was not missed. Both emcees on here flowed great on the beat.

The 2 of them have a tight flow but I wasn't feeling the beat. It didn't like the electro mix with hip hop, it felt dated. Wayne could of stayed off along with Baby since he was pointless but Kevin just blazes the track with a crazy hook.

This is the second time I've heard a It Takes Two sample in the last couple weeks but....nevermind, I just remembered that Jay uses the same track as the basis for his verse on I Wanna Rock.

Anyway, Fly Gypsy really made this their own, and I have to give them credit for some excellent musicanship. These dudes are the real deal.

"How come your mic check bounced?" Ha!

The rework is not that obvious, but I definitely like this version better than the Original. That's all.
