There’s nothing we in the Booth love more than all-star collaborations, but when three up-and-comers as talented as Vegas representatives Marion Write, Nique and Radio Ramone collide on one record, the result is bound to approach downright dangerous levels of dopeness. Together known as FloDeep, the trio showcase their colossal mic skills on Monster Music, a cut off RefinedHype‘s newly-released first-anniversary compilation. Backed by Mr. Kooman‘s fittingly earth-shaking, choral boardwork (kicked off with a creepy vocal sample courtesy of Charles Manson), the Sin City natives drop verses packed with aggressive braggadocio and apocalyptic imagery: “Death certain, David be Goliath / I’m tryin’ to burn the empire with fire, let the flames spark riots…” I’ll leave it to y’all to sift through the rubble and decide who came out on top, but those craving more diabolically fresh tunes from a variety of the game’s best and brightest would do well to grab a copy of Refined Hype: 1 Year Anniversary Ed., released yesterday and available here for free streaming and download!

I couldn't possibly be more biased, so it's good to see the world agrees with me - this record is an absolute beast. Las Vegas hip-hop is on the come up, and these dude's are pushing it to the top. FloDeep is the regime.
As long as we're on the topic, shouts to Nique and Marion for killing DJBooth's stage in L.A. Tuesday night. Respect.
