Fans of ‘80s pop are likely to burst out laughing upon hearing the hook to Flo Rida‘s latest single – Right, Round takes its inspiration from Dead or Alive’s 1984 hit, You Spin Me Round (Like a Record), changing the lyrics to describe the rapper’s reaction to a pole-dancing performance. Flo describes the head-spinningly beautiful stripper who has him throwing his money around (to the tune of several grand). The emcee may be dismayed at the lightness of his bankroll in the morning, but this energetic cut is catchy enough to convince listeners that it was all worth it. Mr. Luke goes all-out on the production tip, packing his propulsive beat with a dizzying array of synths, and the result is a record that’s sure to get its share of spins in clubs nationwide. If Right, Round is any indication, Flo Rida’s forthcoming sophomore LP, R.O.O.T.S. (Routes of Overcoming the Struggle) will offer fans ample opportunity to get out on the dancefloor when it hits stores in April.

Not my personal favorite song that I would play in my iPod but let's be honest....Flo Rida has a huge hit on his hands with this one. Clubs will be rockin right round. Gotta give props when they are due

I love dead or alive, and when I first heard this on his myspace page I kinda laughed but then I listened more and was realizing that this just might be another huge hit for him. I don't know if he will have as big a hit as he did with Low, but this just might prove me wrong. I like it.

Flo Rida is “weak” only to meet my expectations (good lyrics/rhymes even on silly songs, having a purpose/meaning to the songs, not depending so much on the beat…) But for his own goal, which is certainly entertain (and not get in the Hip Hop Hall of Fame), he’s pretty solid!!! So I won’t join the bandwagon complaining about his supposedly “annoying voice/flow” and just ENJOY the music! Beat is bananas and Flo Rida matches it very well! |

Flo Rida has another hit on his hands, the dude might not be able to spit like Weezy, but who cares, he's going to make some more money off this & thats all a artist could want. Beat is pretty good from Mr. Luke as well.

People can rip on Flo Rida all they want. But that doesn't change the fact that the man had the #1 record last year ("Low") and has a pure knack for making really catchy, undeniable club music. "Right, Round" is just that. An undeniable hit record.
I dare you to not enjoy this in the club. Try me!!!

he always sounds the same, and thats WACK. and the #1 record last year was #1 Z, because the beat was sick, and Pain held the tune allll alone. put ANY rapper on that song and they would probably get the same spinnage. aha, anyways, I don't like this too much, catchy, but Im just not a fan of him.

I disagree with you BeMore. I honestly think Flo Rida fit into that song perfectly and the way he flows and raps combines with everything else in Low made it a top record. It would just sound different. This will definitely be in the clubs, w/o a doubt.

The overall song is good, the music has energy. I don't like Flo Rida's flow but here he sounds decent! The problem is that I'm tired of hearing pieces of old songs in almost every new song. I know the rest is new and original, but I'm tired of hearing old done and re-done songs

I would rock out to this at a club spot, but I don't want to hear this in my ride, or anywhere else. It reminds me of something done by the Dungeon Family a while back. |

This is a classic! I haven't been here in a while. But I wan't to know why the hell folks don't like Flo but keep clicking into his songs? Oh I get it.. they hate him im public but behind close door they can't get enough of him. No one always has great lyrics, in this song one thing didn't over power another,everything fell in place . I think what he said made sense it's his style and that's what make him unique.You just have to think a little harder to connect the meanings of his lyrics you will see that his lyrics does make sense. 5 stars from me.
