Last week when DJBooth featured the Flo Rida song Radio, I revealed that Atlantic Records would officially unleash the Miamian’s new single this week. Well, the label jumped the gun and the Timbaland-produced single, Elevator, is upon us. Riding high off the chart topping (still #1 at Billboard after five weeks) success from Low, Flo Rida was able to afford the services of arguably the most in demand producer in hip-hop (pagingDr. Dre). While listeners might assume The-Dream is behind the creation of this song (ella-ella-elevator sounds a lot like umbrella-ella-ella), the creative control behind this final product is courtesy of the upstart Flo Rida and the industry veteran Timbo.
Damn! This is exactly what I expected as a follow up for Flo Rida! This song is really well produced (obviously) and Flo Rida flows really well on this. Not quite sure what the lyrics mean yet, I'll have to listen a few more times. The chorus is good though. Great work Timbo!
yep its a club song. and likewise i dont really kno what the song is about i just kno sum girl is stuck on his elevator. i love flo rida's voice for sum reason...cuz its different and he can do songs where he sings a lil bit too like 50 and Ja used to do.
HAHA The-Dream just entered the game and he's already imitated albeit, it's just a small part of the song but IMO the most catchiest. Props to The-Dream.
Flo Rida did an oustanding job and Timbo on the beat now what I like about flo rida is you can't hate he can sing on the beat or flow very talented, and stop with the Nelly stuff it's just some people get their turn before others do.And now he's SHINING.
I said he'd be a one hit wonder, but maybe I was wrong... Or is this Timbaland? Think I need to listen to this a few times. OH! And did anyone hear that Soulja thinks he's better then Jay and Kanye? I'm DYING to see what becomes of him now.
to begin, last year,i said timbaland was the best and is going to keep on rising because his ideas and collaborators are as great as him.he has entered 2008 with more momentum than in 2007.this track combines flow, beat, clubbin and listening qualities together.for a starter like flo rida,i think this is a super track for him.the timbo mastered beats are a combination of all the genders of music which makes it not only a south track but a universal one.this track will definitely spin on my table for quite some time.
I'm getting sick of Flo Rida. I dont find him as unique and worthy of this huge buzz hes getting. How has his single outsold everything? It's not that great. I guess it just really appealed to the white suburban crowd which is whose downloading songs on iTunes nowadays. I like the shit he laid down before he blew up, some of his old mixtapes were hot. As for this song, I find it like promiscuous as well but boring with his flow that disappears in the beat
Not too fond of the song for listening purposes, but as far as their attempt to make a successful dance/club banger track, the recipe was perfect. It won't be a personal favorite of mines, but i'm sure it will be for many of the club-goers. Therefore, it's a banger.
frozilla33 stop with this 'white suburban people' shit, dont get racey on here, I saw some black guys jammin to 'soulja girl' the other day, and that song is a pussy ass song and the rapper shouldnt even deserve to be called a rapper...so when it comes to races listening to these wack songs, making them popular, IT GOES FOR EVERYONE, not just specific races, god damn how ignorant can you be. but I at least agree that Flo Rida is pretty wack now, his voice gets on my nerves to be honest, never did really like 'low' besides T-Pain. this song aight, Timbo is the only reason for that though.
Timb's beats are the Shiznit! Nice and complete beat. I am still not sold on the whole Flo-Rida thing, but he is decent. I really like this beat though; and the chorus is hot too.
he cool to me flo rida did good on this but i dont see him
in hip hop game to long cause he might come and leave like
most of these rappers but tight beat
Gotta give Timbo props! This is one of the best and fresh beats he's come up with the past year... I dont like what's made with his beats on JT and NellyF albums though... and Flo-Rida almost went that way. 5 stars for the production and the hook, 2 go to Flo Rida.
You know it seems hard for some people to accept the fact that you have someone new making hits back to back. The flow on the beat makes a difference too. These artist like T-Pain and Producers made tracks with others but the songs were not that successful.Lets keep it real Flo-Rida doin his thing. Give him his Props!!
i am feeling the beat then again its Timbo he anit letting a beat thats not fire leave the studio lol and i think he just hoped on the flo rida hype get low great dance beat t pain ripped it flo rida ahhh ok this song beat fire timbo and his effect ok flo rida ahhhhh again idk about him
great as any other (great producers these days, but not as good as the 1990's producers) though I admit music today is alot better than the 1990's but I'll be out soon to try an be the #1 producer John Woods yeah but anyway great song goin on here to bad my granny can't dance she'd be dance all over tha place for this song.
Good to see Miami setting an example to the rest of hip hop. Flo Rida will have one of the best albums of the year because Miami are sticking together. Timbaland, The Runners, Rick Ross, Dj Khaled and Cool and Dre all involved. Bound to be a great album
Just too much Timbo out there. sick of it. I stiull like his work but it is gettin tyred. Flo Rida's voice ain't nothin speacial. Is not Jigga Snoop or Luda.
