In December of ‘05, Lil’ Wayne released his last studio album, The Carter II, and since has gone on to become the most talked-about, most featured and most in-demand rapper in the entire industry. Not as admired, but climbing the ‘popularity chart’ on a daily basis, Flo Rida jumped onto the scene this past July and has stayed in the limelight with his hit single, Low. As a result, the industry upstart has hooked up with the definition of ‘industry upstart’ for the new track, American Superstar, off Flo’s forthcoming debut, Mail On Sunday. Unlike most artists who feature Weezy on their music, Flo Rida stands on his own two feet and does not let his guest take center stage. American Superstar can also be found on The Flo Rida Cash Cartel mixtape by DJ Chuck T.

finally something flo rida actually flows well on without that annoying addition on his voice, you know the usual fakeness of his voice sounding computerized. weezy sounds good as always...love how he just comes in and tears it up completely. good tune right here...

T-Pain made Flo-Rida's first hit, now Weezy is going to make his second? Take away his features and Flo-Rida is weak! He is one of those guys that is really good or really terrible, and its usually the latter of the two in my opinion.

FINALLY a good Flo Rida song. His old mixtapes were straight fire and elevator and low were way too commercial for me. Wayne killed it better on this then he has on a lot of stuff recently and Flo Rida flowed well and rapped well like he is capable of (on songs such as birthday)

Good call on Flo Rda not slackin off. He definitely is better than Wayne on the track. It's not a radio song though. Wayne's verse starts off way slow, and the synthisiser is annoying. I have to give it a three, guess I don't understand all the hype over Lil Wayne.

so yea.. if u dont know by now, flo rida is probably the biggest thing to come out in a long long time. everything he touches is gold. after his smash hit "low" destroying every record chart there is, and his second single "elevator" looking like it might be even bigger than low which is ridiculous; expect international superstardom to be tremendous. definitely break out/ new artist of the year, even though ive been bumpin flo since birthday and the kronik mixtapes.
