Like… well, just about everything the dude’s released, new single Who Dat Girl sees Flo Rida overtaken by the charms of a beautiful woman. This time, however, the story’s set not at the club, but at the emcee’s local polling place, where the artist spots an alluring shawty in line to cast her ballot. OK, that was a lie designed to subtly influence readers to run to the polls while (or if) there’s still time. PSA over. In reality, this is another of Flo’s trademark radio/club bangers, featuring a beat strongly reminiscent of Dr. Luke‘s work on Tik Tok and all the lust-fueled rhymes we’ve come to expect from the Panhandle State representative (“I imagine her topless, she might set off my rocket,” etc.). Adding an extra jolt of pop appeal, Konvict head honcho Akon jumps aboard to lend his vocals to the double-time chorus. So, readers, is Dat Girl a worthy successor to its Booth-acclaimed predecessor, Turn Around? Whatever your take on the matter, you’ll find both of the aforementioned cuts and plenty more on the rapper’s Only One Flo (Pt.1) LP, due out November 30.

I'm beating a dead horse with every comment on a Flo song, but this will be another radio hit that you will hear on urban and pop radio.
As a more in depth analysis, I was happy to see Akon replaced on the finished version instead of Claudette Kelly from the original. Should add to the radio success. |

This beat is CRAZY, by far the best pop instrumental I've heard in a while. Reminiscent of "Tik Tok". I love this, much more than his previous single.

This is gonna deal serious damage to Billboard, and blast up the charts. More reminiscent of California Gurls, than TiK ToK to me. I'm gonna expect this to be overplayed on pop radio if given the single treatment.

Triple threat combo of Kon, Flo & Dr.Luke shouldn't fail to get club and radio attention. I gotta agree with dillon_68, very nice beat.. Catchy but far from unpleasant

even tho i nearly committed suicide via .50 caliber bullet after listening to Tik Tok for months on in, i can live w/the beat here. still, this is nothin special and Flo is starting to fall off a bit. not hate jus saying his recent work is dramatically worse than his previous work.
