Flo Rida - Come With Me
Artist: Flo Rida
Producer: Infinity
Album: Only One Flo (Part 1)
Label: Poe Boy/Atlantic
It hasn’t even been a week since the Panhandle State representative brought us the reader-approved Who Dat Girl, but Flo Rida seems to have fallen head over heels for yet another shawty. This time, though, it’s not the chick’s rockin’ body that has him sprung, but her formidable intellect. OK, new single Come With Me does include some talk of physical attributes – but still, “I like that she has a mind on her” is probably the most mature thing I’ve ever heard come out of Flo’s mouth. The sound is also something of a departure from the artist’s usual, with Infinity passing up the artist’s typical dancefloor-ready grooves in favor of a gentler R&B-tinged backdrop (complete with a chorus inspired, improbably enough, by 2Pac‘s Hail Mary). Rida adopts a more melodic flow to match, dropping lines alternately tender and freaky as he tries to persuade the girl in question to ride with him. Time for the big question: is this record hit material? If you think so, you can cop it right now on iTunes – or, wait till November 30, when Only One Flo (Part 1) hits online retailers and record stores everywhere.

If you're old enough to recall 2pac's famous "Hail Mary" record from '97 (14 years ago, f**king crazy), you might have a hard time listening to Flo's new single without thinking about the song that inspired it. Then again, if you have that problem you probably are not the demographic Flo is looking to play his music to and for - right? Right. I'm done here haha.

hahaha this is Flo Rida's version of 'Just a Dream'. Sorry, Flo, Nelly's still a better singer than you. Still, I must concede his vocal prowess is commendable.
Definitely reminds me of 'Hail Mary'. Ahhh, good times... =P |

This song sounded really boring to me, maybe I’m just to use to Flo’s club bangers.

I'm debating about this one. I will admit Flo Rida's a guilty pleasure, someone I'll throw on when I'm drinking, getting ready to go out or at a party. BUT, it's a little ridiculous that he uses Hail Mary as the hook and like Z said, I can't help but think of Pac's song. I don't know about this one.

At this point Flo is who he is - an artist who makes enjoyable, factory line assembled pop hits. Not my thing, but I have to respect the man's success and consistency.
And as long as got paid a grip to use that sample, I'm fine with it. |

I like it, a lot, this album is shaping up to be Flo's best. Even though it's only 8 tracks. (Pt. 1)

Its definately a "in the now" song. But as Z said its hard not to think Hail Mary and feel all grimy on this. I immediately start singing Tupac on the hook.
Anyway...its ok, infact its nice. I can hold on to a cutey listening to this track and get all emational in her ear. |

Wow, what a way to spin 2Pac's Hail Mary hook. This is def. the most mature i've heard Flo get on any track. Respect rotation.
