Oakland-based hip-hop/rock group Flipsyde may have unfortunately fallen victim to unresolvable issues with their former major label home, but now that the quartet has gone the independent route they’ve released a slew of new music including their The Phoenix EP and most recently The DJBooth-hosted IGNITE Mixtape. Their latest cut, One More Trip, comes across as an internal struggle for the contingent as they touch on both the mistakes of the past and taking advantage of the present. Along with the release of the Flipsyde and Reto Peter-produced single comes accompanying visuals, which also seem to touch on past versus present thanks to the inclusion of the band’s past concert footage and television appearances . Expect a hefty dose of new music from the Oakland musicians when their Tower Of Hollywood EP drops in September.
