First things first: if you, like me, could go the rest of your life without hearing another screech from Axl Rose, feel free to breathe a sigh of relief; Gunz & Rozes, the inaugural leak from East Coast emcee Feroz‘s forthcoming street album, has absolutely nothing to do with the rock group of (almost) the same name. In actuality, the cut finds the Booth newcomer and Bronx motormouth Cory Gunz teaming up to blaze a beat off Diplo and Switch‘s recent collaborative album as Major Lazer. Backed by the hypnotically driving staccato-guitar beat from Santigold-assisted single Hold the Line, Gunz and Faroz deliver rapid-fire bars packed with vivid braggadocio and trash talk, the latter bringing the track to a close with the lines “My tongue’s a desert eagle, every day I’m poppin’ lead off/ This was the warning shot; next time I’ll take your head off.” To hear the emcee make good on that promising threat (or is it a threatening promise?), grab a copy of his Invisible Man mixtape when it hits the ‘net in February.

I didn't know who Feroz was until this record dropped into my inbox late last week. I pressed play and immediately I exclaimed, "Damn!" I think you'll be thinking the same exact thing!

Feroz isn't bad... if your gonna mention anything about this one, it'd have to be cory's ability to ride this beat tha way he does though. i'm rollin wit gunz

Richard nailed it - I was terrified this was going to be a Sweet Child of Mine cover, but thank god it was anything but. Diplo and Switch are putting out some of the most original production in the game, and Feroz is impressively up to the task of flowing over such a frantic beat. I'm impressed.

Both Cory and Feroz handles the tempo of the beat with the ease, delivering rapid-fire malevolence over Major Lazer's frenetic, repeated guitar-loop madness. I dig it! A must listen!

Def a UK banger maybe a lil too new age for West. Feroz's vocal production is on point. Corey's vocal production needs mastering.. a lil too boothy. Other then that. It's Clean.
